Fred DeVito: EVP + Founding Senior Teacher Trainer, Exhale Enterprises

Fred DeVito is EVP + Founding Senior Teacher Trainer at Exhale. He is responsible for training the teachers for the proprietary Exhale programs, directing the teacher training curriculum, program quality, and safety. As a lead trainer and fitness expert in the barre and wellbeing industry, Fred regularly appears as a fitness expert on national TV including The Today Show, ABC News and Fox News. He has been featured in The New York Times, Fitness Magazine, New York Magazine and Shape Magazine. Along with his wife, Elisabeth, Fred has created, choreographed, and starred in 11 Core Fusion DVDs and have contributed to many online classes on Yogavibes.com, www.forte.fit.com and Exhale On Demand He is also coauthor of the Barre Fitness book, an accomplished Thai Massage therapist and Jazz String Bass player.

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM – meditating

10:00 AM – teaching barre classes

12:00 PM - Favorite Power Lunch spot/meal?

Salad Nicoise at Maison Kayser

7:00 PM - Home cooked dinner with great wine + some music time playing jazz on my upright bass.

11:00 PM – reading in bed before sleep

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)? 

 Water throughout the day. Morning: black coffee then a blend of lemon-turmeric-ginger-apple cider vinegar-carrots and apple.  Lunch- green tea- hot or cold. Dinner- wine

What should everyone try at least once?

A silent retreat for at least 3 days

Where do you enjoy getting lost?

Driving a sports car in the Tuscan countryside.

My Deed of the Day: Perform a random act of kindness:  help a blind person cross the street, open the door for someone struggling, drop some money in the hat of a homeless person.

My Tip of the Day: Love yourself, love your life.  Tomorrow is never guaranteed
