What do you love most about Your City?

The diversity of our population.  The faces, the food, the cultures from all over the world living together in one melting pot.  Living near the beach, seeing mountains, walking in forest. And the temperature can’t be beat.

Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?

My kids and I are gluten free and we’re all nutrition-oriented so honestly my favorite breakfast is at home where we can customize to all the peculiarities of our individual needs.  I love these pancakes I make out of eggs and bananas.

Restaurant?  Anywhere that does fresh fish well.  I love Branzino.

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM – Having coffee and getting ready for my power walk.

10:00 AM – At my desk writing or at meetings. In an ideal week, on set, directing a great scene with amazing actors and crew.

12:00 PM - Favorite Power Lunch spot/meal?

There’s a little café near my house, an offshoot of a well-known restaurant, called Angelini Alimentari.  The staff are all Italian, the menu small - all delicious. I love the chopped salad and the soups are divine.

7:00 PM -  Cleaning up dinner, watching Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O’Donnell.  Then getting back to work at the desk.

11:00 PM – My husband is in construction and up by 5 am so we have to be asleep by 11 in order to function well. 10 is even better but I watch a great deal of television in order to be up to date in my line of work. Netflix, Hulu, HBO, Amazon Prime – so 10 is hard to keep up with.

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)? A lot of water! Two espressos.

Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?

I find Twitter to be very effective.  Follow me @WomenCallAction - Even though I’m a visualist I don’t use Insta much, as I find text to be more effective for activism.

What should everyone try at least once?

Fall in love. Live in another culture. Perform a random act of kindness. Sing!

Where do you enjoy getting lost?

In the woods.  I love to be under the blanket of a forest, embraced by the trees and the dappled light.
