What do you love most about Your City?

The geographic and cultural plethora of LA—you can go from hiking to a museum or concert at the beach in one day.  I really love the people too--something that surprised me when I moved to LA eight years ago—they’re so open and accepting of others. It’s refreshing.

Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?

The Greek Omelet at Bea Bea’s in Burbank. Or the Belgian waffle. Or the pumpkin pancakes. Or—OK, now I’m hungry.

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM – Standing in the kitchen waiting for my tea to brew and checking email on my phone.

10:00 AM – I’m touching base with someone on my team. We tend to work late in the performing arts—I once had a meeting at 2:30 AM— so 10:00 AM is often when people are starting their day.

12:00 PM - Favorite Power Lunch spot/meal?

I try not to hold important meetings over lunch as I find it disjointed and distracting. On a hectic day, my favorite lunch is dining outside by myself to regroup before taking on the rest of the day.

7:00 PM -  I’m either driving home or still at work gearing up to attend a special event or evening performance, like I am tonight.

11:00 PM – Reading—often until quite late. I’m really enjoying “Snow Flower and the Secret Fan” by Lisa See right now.

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?

I start and end the day with hot tea, and it’s not unusual to have a glass or two of wine with dinner.

Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?

I’m inspired by the fabulous Accidental Icon, both for her aesthetic and the fact that she launched her blog and became a fashion icon in her 60’s. And why not? Can’t wait to see what she does in her 70’s.

What should everyone try at least once?

I know this sounds self-serving, but seriously, everyone should try live opera at least three times. It’s an acquired taste, like wine. You can’t make your decision based on one sip. It’s not for everyone, but if it grabs hold of you, watch out. You’ll be hooked.

Where do you enjoy getting lost?

When traveling, my husband and I like wandering through a city without an agenda. We admire the architecture, visit residential neighborhoods, tour the sites we stumble upon, and eat at random places along the way.
