Mahum Jamal: Filmmaker

Mahum Jamal is a Pakistani-American filmmaker based in Los Angeles, California. She most recently wrote, directed, and produced the feature film, A GOOD DREAM, which won 17 awards internationally - including Best Feature Film and Best Director - and was nominated for 9 other awards. A GOOD DREAM is available now on iTunes, Amazon, and GooglePlay for streaming. Mahum is currently developing her second feature film, ARIANNA’S CHRISTMAS, and directing music videos. She is a champion for projects with a clear artistic point of view and authentic portrayal of marginalized stories. She is a current member of Film Fatales and the Alliance of Women Directors. Mahum attended Barnard College at Columbia University where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Studies with a minor in Religion in 2015. She was raised in the Silicon Valley in a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation.

LA - I love the street art, the starry-eyed creatives, and the mid-century modern landscape.
