Aube Giroux is an award-winning documentary filmmaker. Her recent food-themed documentary-memoir "Modified" has been an official selection at over 40 international film festivals and received 11 awards. Aube is also the creator of “Kitchen Vignettes”, an online farm-to-table cooking show on PBS which received the 2012 Saveur Magazine Best Food Blog Award and is a two-time James Beard Award nominee. Aube holds an MFA in Film Production from York University.

What do you love most about Your City?
I live in the country and what I love most about where I live is the rich fertile soil that allows me to grow my own food.
Favorite breakfast meal/restaurant?
My favorite breakfast is scrambled eggs with salsa verde. I could eat it everyday of my life.

6:00 AM – still sleeping
10:00 AM - workday is well underway
12:00 PM - Favorite Lunch spot/meal?
Lunch is a giant salad with a good source of protein in it
7:00 PM - cooking dinner
11:00 PM - doing a bit of reading before bed
What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?
I start the day with a green tea or a coffee and then good old tap water is my drink of choice
