Elaine Queathem has been involved with technology her entire life, but when working for a small software technology company in 2009, she became acutely aware of the shortage of qualified programming resources which were essential for a small company to grow and thrive. Now, several years later, she is in a position to begin to help people develop those important and sought after skills. That’s why she founded Savvy Coders.
What do you love most about Your City?
St. Louis is such a well kept secret, the architecture is amazing, the neighborhoods interesting and diverse, the entertainment options are off the chart, traffic is manageable and the cost of living offers affordability for many.
Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?
I love the egg biscuit at The Living Room and my favorite restaurant is Bristol
What are you doing at:
6:00 AM – Greeting the day, mostly animal husbandry - 2 aging dogs and 2 cats, feeding, watering and walking the canines
10:00 AM - Now that I am organized, I’m diving into items on the “to do” list.
12:00 PM - Favorite Power Lunch spot/meal?
I work in the Cortex and I enjoy lunch at Vicia
7:00 PM - Checking in with instructors teaching our bootcamp, either spinning or taking the dogs for another walk
11:00 PM - Should be sound asleep
What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?
I love sparkling water, it’s refreshing, I drink it throughout the day. In the evening I like to mix it with some fresh citrus.

I love slack to communicate with my team and Less annoying CRM and Trello keep me focused and organized.
What should everyone try at least once?
I often say that everyone should own at least one terrier!
