Katie Beecher is an internationally known Medical and Emotional Intuitive and Licensed Professional Counselor with over 30 years of experience. Her first exposure to medical intuition was at a workshop with famous Medical Intuitive Dr. Mona Lisa Schulz, where Katie discovered her abilities. She was featured in Gwyneth Paltrow’s online wellness magazine Goop after impressing a member of their staff with a reading. Katie has had documented success with Lyme Disease, digestive issues, cancer, viruses, autoimmune diseases, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, adolescent and childhood concerns and many other issues. Her abilities and accuracy have been confirmed by physicians and medical records in an article published in an international peer reviewed journal. She also has a BS in Biology and Psychology, a MS in Counseling and Certification in Special Education. She realized from a very young age that she was extremely sensitive and could pick up on the feelings and thoughts of other people. She has always felt close to animals as well.

What do you love most about Your City?
We moved to Southport N.C., about 30 minutes outside of Wilmington, almost 18 months ago from Old Saybrook CT. I love the weather here and that Southern hospitality is a real thing. I love seeing dolphins at the beach and the alligator in our pond. Some of my very favorite things are the lizards and small tree frogs that live on our porch.
Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?
Paleo pancakes with blueberries and real maple syrup. In our small town, without any paleo or organic options I have to make those at home. There is a breakfast place my husband and I like called Taylor’s. It’s Southern cooking and the color theme is purple and green. Actually though, my very favorite breakfast place is anywhere in Fremantle Australia. The food there is incredible.
What are you doing at:
6:00 AM – definitely sleeping. I wish I could get up early like my husband. I like to start the day with meditation and Kundalini yoga, but not until later.
10:00 AM – Enjoying my tea, sitting on our porch in the sun surrounded by all of my plants. After that I usually start working. Having my own business, no day is ever the same. I am either preparing my reading reports and symbolic paintings, meeting with clients, working on my book or articles, responding to email and phone calls or on my social media accounts. I always make time for exercise.
12:00 PM - Favorite Lunch spot/meal?
Usually I don’t have lunch. I prefer a big breakfast and early dinner. If I do have lunch, anywhere with my husband is wonderful. Fresh seafood and vegetables always make me happy.
7:00 PM - hanging out with my husband watching something we are streaming on Netflix or Amazon, usually also playing Dots on my iPad. I’m on level 1356. It’s the only game I’ve ever been able to play.
11:00 PM – Trying to fall asleep. It can take a while for my brain to quiet down.
What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?
I am addicted to fruit flavored mate tea. I start the day with it and usually have at least one more cup. David’s is my favorite brand. I often mix it with a fruity herbal or with a white called Buddha’s Blend. I add matcha green tea powder, raw honey, collagen powder and liquid silica. The mate gives you a little kick without overstimulating your adrenals.
Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?
I keep up with my daughters on Instagram so their accounts are my favorites but I’m also amazed by the pole fitness accounts I follow. These people are incredible athletes. I started taking classes a few months ago and it’s the most fun I’ve ever had working out.

Where do you enjoy getting lost?
The beach. Looking for sea glass is one of my favorite addictions/meditations. I have huge containers of every color all over my house from beaches as far away as Western Australia. Their beaches are glorious.
My Deed of the day: I make an effort to fit in something creative. I used to paint in watercolors every day, regularly exhibiting in national shows and galleries. I don't have much time for that anymore, but I am looking forward to hopefully making more time for it.
My Tip of the day: Your health professionals work for you, not the other way around. Don't be afraid to ask questions and let your voice be heard.
