My Goal of the Day: Tackle email inbox mountain so I can read and research for my next book.
My Thought of the Day: Let others’ negativity pass over your head like a wave.
My Action of the Day: Yoga in the morning.
My Deed of the Day: Sharing resources with a parent to help her son. Also, being a longtime vegan means every day spares some lives.
My Tip of the Day: If you want to write a nonfiction book that is published by a top publisher, start first by writing a published chapter. You can clean up an academic paper you are passionate about (such as one you wrote in college but never published) and submit it as a chapter in an academic book (for example, visit IGI Global and change the “Display” field to “Call for Book Chapters”). When the book (with your chapter) is published, you'll be a published author, can likely set up an Amazon author page (among others), and get to enjoy other perks of sharing your ideas via publishing. Then, when you submit a proposal for your full-length book, reviewers will see you’re already a published author with an established author presence, making acceptance far easier.
My Pic of the Day: (any additional pic that expresses something special) My 8-year-old daughter dressed as her hero Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg for Halloween.
