My Goal of the Day: To keep my top personal and professional priorities in mind, so that I don’t get distracted or sidelined by lesser things
My Thought of the Day: On a beautiful day, get outside! (I’ll be doing that right after this)
My Action of the Day: To exercise my body thoroughly. This means a walk with my dog in the sunshine, as well as hitting the gym for a full workout: cardio, weights, core and stretching.
My Pic of the Day:
A Day in My Life:
What do you love most about Your City?
Vancouver is spectacularly beautiful and has both mountains and ocean, so many different ways to get into nature.
Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?
These days I love to make a smoothie every morning, packed with ground flax meal, baby spinach, an apple, strawberries, chia seeds, and vegan protein powder in a base of oat milk.
My favorite restaurant is the Naam, an iconic 24-hour vegetarian restaurant that has been around since the sixties.
What are you doing at:
6:00 AM – Sleeping! I aim for 8 hours a night, typically 11 pm – 7 am.
10:00 AM – It varies, depending on the day I might be at the gym, coaching a client, doing business admin, or seeing a patient. I like variety in my days.
12:00 PM - Favorite Lunch spot/meal?
Since most days I work out of my home office, I make myself lunch. A favorite is to take leftover brown rice from last night’s dinner and stir fry it with whatever fresh veggies I have on hand (spinach, celery, carrots, mushrooms, broccoli, ginger etc.) as well as some cashews or tofu. We eat mostly plant-based meals at home.
7:00 PM - My husband has likely just arrived home, we are catching each other up on our days as one of us makes dinner.
11:00 PM – We are tucked in bed (with our dog) and turn off the light!
What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?
Water, water, water all day long. I’m most likely to have some hot ginger tea to unwind in the evening, but on weekends my husband and I enjoy a glass of red wine together or with friends.
Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?
According to the Screen Time feature on my iPhone, I use the Safari internet browser app the most. I love reading articles on all sorts of topics. I’m a huge reader!
What should everyone try at least once?
Going to a flamenco show. I’m a flamenco dancer, and I’ll never forget the first time I saw a live performance. The music, the rhythms, the footwork, the passion…incredible.
Where do you enjoy getting lost?
Anywhere in Italy. Though it’s been too long since I was there last!
Be well. Live well. Love well.
