Her work reflects her passion in the emotional and existential themes that connect people. Imi's artwork was exhibited in Australia and London's East End and sold internationally. Combining her life-long passion and clinical expertise, she founded the international psycho-therapy practice Eggshell Therapy and Coaching, where she works with intense souls across the world. Imi owns over a thousand Japanese manga and eats broccoli every day.

My Goal of the Day: My goal is usually more about a mindset, or a philosophy, rather than an actual task. Today, my goal is to stay open to what life has got to offer me- be it pleasant or unpleasant surprises. Being carried by, rather than judging and resisting circumstances.

My Thought of the Day: Yesterday could have been the last day of my life, so today is an extra gift.

And today could be the last day of my life, so I would rather focus on the most important thing, which is what I am put in this world to do.

My Action of the Day: Almost every day, I try to connect with a stranger and show some curiosity about who they are.  It is usually the postman or the person at the supermarket checkout; I like asking them what time they get off or if they like their work. It rejuvenates my energy like nothing else and I have been do-ing it since when I was  little.  

My Deed of the Day: Went for a jog in the rain.

My Tip of the Day: Whatever you do, see if you can take the ‘small self’ out, and think bigger. Forget about repu-tation, praise, blame, good and bad fortune. Most people are too busy enjoying your gifts and what you have got to offer the world. Just show up, and do your work with integrity; and then let go. The rest is not up to you.

What do you love most about Your City?

That’s a good question. I often wonder why I am in London. In the seven years I have been here, I have been assaulted, burglarized, and bullied. As a city, it can be rough, harsh, precarious, and with all the political changes, increasingly unhappy.

But it is a truly diverse city. The number of differences we are thrust into tolerating, holding, and living with is incomparable to any other cities I have lived in.  The harder it gets, though, the more I understand why I am here. Maybe deep down I want to be stretched — to expand my circle of acceptance and to embrace what is difficult to love.

And I do love the melancholic weather!  

Favourite breakfast meal & restaurant?

I have been eating broccoli every single day without fail for the last ten years. I used to have it for breakfast, but now I try to have at least a 12-hour fast each day so I don’t eat until noon.  

I mostly enjoy making and eating my own food. But once a week I go to Wholefoods- it is a ritual.

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM – letting my subconscious work its magic

10:00 AM - a gentle jog in nature

12:00 PM - Favorite Lunch spot/meal?

A home-cooked meal, always with broccoli

7:00 PM -  Saying goodbye to the last client I see that day, feeling energised, fulfilled and grateful for the day’s work.

11:00 PM - Pulling out a Japanese manga and getting ready to devour it

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?

I would not recommend it to anyone, but I consume about 15 cups of coffee a day- 14 of them decaf.

What should everyone try at least once?

I find this question difficult, as I don’t feel able to prescribe something for ‘everyone’. I be-lieve in people’s spontaneous and autonomous acts— Deep down, we know what will be the next best thing for us to try, based uniquely on where we are in life.

But I believe everyone should do at least one thing in their life that is counter-cultural, origi-nal, and non-conforming. Something that is not what society, authorities, institutions, mum and dad or our peers would advise, but integral to their truth. It can be as small as dancing naked at home or as big as choosing a life partner.
