What do you love most about NYC?
I love the energy of NYC. I travel regularly and have been to many other great cities around the world but none have the same motivating energy as Manhattan…there is something unique in the air that makes me feel alive; as if anything is possible.
What’s happening at:
6:00 AM – I’m all about a slow morning and typically only get out of bed around 7:30am unless we have a photoshoot or installation scheduled. I’m incredibly lucky to have a husband who does the morning routine with my kids so I am free to get ready for the day. I always start the morning off with hot lemon water and spend a little time on Instagram over breakfast since it’s hard to pay attention to social media once the day begins.
10:00 AM - Depending on the day I might be meeting with a client or doing a site visit at one of our construction projects.
12:00 PM - I might be heading back to the office to catch up with the team and take care of emails, or heading out to another client meeting or vendor meeting. The great thing about being a designer is that every day is different and varied. I am out of the office a lot between meetings, sourcing, industry events etc. It never gets old.

7:00 PM - Most evenings, I’m home with my husband and kids for dinner. As busy as life gets, I try to limit the number of dinners and evening events so that I have at least half my evenings at home to spend time with my family.
11:00 PM - I’m naturally a night owl so this is the time when I find I’m most creative. I love this time of night because it’s free from distraction and I’m able to focus and really brainstorm. Luckily my business partner is a night owl too so you’ll often find us texting about new ideas or ongoing projects.
Where do you enjoy getting lost in NYC?
Greenwich Village is the perfect place to get lost and just wander around. The narrow treelined streets and shorter buildings make the area feel more intimate than other parts of Manhattan and you are always just around the corner from a great restaurant, boutique or some design inspiration.
