With more than 25 years in the restaurant industry, Damon Gordon honed his culinary skills in some of London’s finest eating establishments. Moving to the U.S. in 2000, he has since helmed Executive Chef position at Blue Door, Miami, both Mix and Ono at Gansevoort Hotel in New York, and Quarter Kitchen at Ivy Hotel in San Diego and Jefferson Hotel in Washington, D.C.. While at Quarter Kitchen, the restaurant earned an ‘Award of Excellence’ from Wine Spectator and several more honors in San Diego Magazine’s ‘Best Restaurants 2008.’ Gordon has also drawn the spotlight as a contestant on the cable TV program Chopped. Now Culinary Director of King Signature Group, Gordon oversees all King Signature Group properties, including Water Grill Los Angeles, Santa Monica, San Diego, Orange County, 555 East in Long Beach, Lou & Mickey’s in San Diego’s Gaslamp District, Pier Burger on the Santa Monica Pier, and Fish Camp in Huntington Beach.

My late Mothers roast Chicken and Vegetables.
What are you doing at:
6:00 AM – in the gym
10:00 AM – In the restaurants (working on execution and R&D)
12:00 PM – Lunch service
7:00 PM - Jiu Jitsu depending on the day or dinner service.
11:00 PM – About to fall asleep.
