What do you love most about Your City?

It is cosmopolitan, the cultural variety is spectacular and is world-class, it is beautiful full of fabulous architecture and green spaces, it is steeped in history, it’s full of surprises and I feel safe and inspired by it.  It is also in the best time zone between East and West which makes it a perfect place to live and run an international business.

Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?

Poached eggs on wholemeal or sourdough toast with freshly ground black pepper at The Rosewood Hotel in Holborn – the perfect start to the day.

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM – I’m up and out of the shower, listening to BBC Radio 4, checking on overnight messages from my daughter in New York, seeing if anyone’s found my Twitter and Instagram posts of interest, reading the news headlines online, and thinking about walking to work which inevitably I find a reason why I need to get there earlier so can’t – the best reason is always that I often start the day talking to my Joint-CEO who is based in Australia, a great kick start

10:00 AM – Meeting colleagues or clients – the days are packed with conversations and exciting challenges on how to help people tell their stories or protect their reputations.

12:00 PM - Favorite Power Lunch spot/meal?

I adore the restaurant Spring in Somerset House which has the most delicious clean meals that are seasonal and sensational – I love everything except raw tomatoes.

7:00 PM - I’m probably in mid spin in the office revolving doors heading off to a work event, dinner, concert… it’s a rare treat to be heading home if it is a weekday.

11:00 PM - I am almost certainly in bed, turning off the TV after Newsnight and am doing some of my best thinking – my husband is asleep, the mobile is quiet, the emails have subsided and I’m thinking and planning and getting excited about the challenges I’ll be facing in the day ahead.  I will be working for the next 30 minutes before reading – often poetry or a short story by someone such as Steffan Zweig on a weekday.

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?

I don’t drink any alcohol - I’ll drink black coffee or green tea during the day (but I don’t need it), nowhere near enough water and I love to have a Seedlip (Garden 108) and Fevertree Tonic every evening.

Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?

Most used App is Paprika – our timesheets system for everything we do in our business – the data is integral to running a successful business

Favourite Instagram Account  @emmavkane – it might be strange to choose my own but it is a collection of favourite moments and people and is a very happy space

What should everyone try at least once?

Spending  a day doing charitable work – once a year.  It’s great for the soul.  I give all my colleagues an extra day a year to go and do something charitable.  I think we have a duty to give back to those who are less fortunate than ourselves.

Where do you enjoy getting lost?

The Barbican – two art galleries, a concert hall, a spectacular and enormous conservatory, cinemas, two theatres, incredible planted walkways, restaurants, lakes – it is my spiritual home and a cultural oasis in the heart of the City of London.  I am also the Chairman of the Barbican Centre Trust so I love continually losing myself while experiencing one of the thousands of events they have each year there
