What do you love most about Your City?
I live in Las Vegas where we are known for excess, but what you don’t see beyond the lights of the strip is that we have small town heart. Everyone knows each other and it creates this truly magical wonderland of bright lights and a desire to beat all the odds that say a desert town can’t be more than what you see in the ads.
Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?
DW Bistro’s Chilaquiles. Hands down.
What are you doing at:
6:00 AM – Nose in phone. My social media manager posts on Instagram overnight based on content I’ve written and provided. She has access to a bank of photos we keep updated. My hand is in all content, but I forget the calendar so it is like a little treat to wake up and see which post she’s selected and how people are responding; whether its an inspirational quote from my killer tribe of women or content from my book, a photo of my daughter - it just starts me on the right foot to know that what I’ve written is resonating with people. The best is to see DM’s from women who needed to read the words or have that exact nugget of inspiration delivered to them that very morning. It is an AMAZING feeling.
10:00 AM - By 10 my daughter is at school, I’ve drop shipped any books that need to go out to book clubs or reviewers and I’m pouring over content for my next speaking or podcast engagements. I live and die by a To Do list in my phone.
12:00 PM - Favorite Power Lunch spot/meal? I am in love with Cafe Lola right now. It is a great spot for women to connect, has a great vibe and I always run into friends. I like their Avocuddle Toast with a hardboiled egg and the iced Meyer Lemon green tea or Horchata latte.
7:00 PM - I co-parent so on nights I have my daughter we are typically somewhere in our homework/dinner/no-you-can’t-have-more-cookies-yes-bathing-is-important routine. Once the #momstuff is done we talk about what we are grateful for and what we need help with in our lives. She is working on her arguing. I’m working on my sugar addiction.
On nights I don’t have my daughter I am typically at the gym, having dinner with my boyfriend or catching up with the amazing women in my life.
11:00 PM - I would love to tell you I’m asleep. I’m definitely in bed, but typically catching up on my favorite IG accounts or responding to emails and requests.
What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?
I drink a green tea or chai tea latte in the morning. I may have an iced green tea or latte directly after lunch. I drink A LOT of water. Occasionally, with dinner or if I’m celebrating a big bulk order of books or a speaking contract, I will have a glass of red wine or a Manhattan.
Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?
Sonos/Pandora - I stream music non-stop.
Fave IG - that’s tough! Lately I’ve been loving what Mastin Kipp is all about. He’s got a movement happening on his IG.
In another life I think I must have been a dancer, because those close to me know I watch dancing videos. Delaney Glazer is my current favorite.
What should everyone try at least once?
Big, nasty forgiveness. The kind that the other person probably doesn’t deserve, but that will unlock you from them.
Where do you enjoy getting lost?
Nature. I love to walk. I once got lost in Monaco. I ended up in a beautiful garden at the top of the city. No one knew where I was and I just walked until I found this gorgeous place where I could collect my thoughts. It was as I was formulating my book, before it hit paper. I was so lost in my thoughts, lost in this gorgeous little seaside country, lost. It was the kind of lost that helps you find yourself, your words, and your next steps.
