What do you love most about Your City?
My favorite thing about Portland is the community. That I have a real relationship (friendship) with our farmers and makers, it reminds me of home in so many ways.
I am big on rice dishes, I love paella and fry rice!
What are you doing at:
6:00 AM – waking up to get ready, make breakfast and lunch for my son and taking him to school to then go work out.
10:00 AM - getting out of working out intensely, and beginning my work day. Groceries, market runs, picking up bread, meeting with my sous chef and GM and gearing up for dinner service.
12:00 PM - go, go, go, go!!!
7:00 PM - you will find me at Ataula cooking and talking with our guests at the dining room.
11:00 PM - beginning cleaning and closing after service.
i really like Riojas (red wine), Chardonnay and mojitos.
Where do you enjoy getting lost?
At home with my wife and children, or taking a family drive thru the coast or hood river.
