What do you love most about Your City?
I split my time between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles.. definitely not a bad gig! I love the insanely good climate, the natural beauty and an ever- expanding range of friends who are creative, open and inspiring.
Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?
Croft Alley’s house-made yoghurt with chlorophyll and fresh berries (behind Alfred coffee on Melrose Place) is addictive; Gjusta in Venice, or in Montecito, Bree’Osh has the most delicious locally roasted coffee and soft scrambled eggs served with local greens.
I can’t get enough local, organic green juice so Juice Ranch, AH Juice or Erewhon’s juice bar…are daily stops.
What are you doing at:
6:00 AM – honestly? Sleeping. I tend to stay up late and start my day around 7:30.
10:00 AM - I am in full work mode – emails, calls, showing houses, research, scheduling appointments or at a remodel meeting.
I LOVE what I do and love working with my colleagues at THE AGENCY. I am inspired by and grateful to be a part of this team of super successful brokers, starting with our founders Mauricio Umansky, Billy Rose, Santiago Arana, Paul Lester and our exceptionally talented design, marketing, PR and development teams.
12:00 PM - Favorite Power Lunch spot/meal?
Walley’s on Canon Drive, Zinque on Melrose, Soho House, the Chateau Marmot...
… I have many favorites!
7:00 PM – Drinks and dinner either at home or out with friends, colleagues or clients. I love to cook but there’s something about the bustle of a restaurant, the clanging dishes, the people, the service, the atmosphere… I just love it. Favorites are Pace in Laurel Canyon, Arigato, The Monarch Montecito, Little Door Santa Barbara, SY Kitchen and Gjelina.
11:00 PM – I’m usually back on my computer… this is a 24/7 job but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I always fit in some yoga before bed. After years of practice, the moment I’m on my mat, I’m in meditation.
What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?
I start with a latte made with homemade organic almond or brazil nut milk, raw honey and Sun Potion’s Lions Mane for enhanced brain function. Depending on the day I add their Rhodiola, Pine Pollen, Yin Power or Macuna Pruriens.. blended with cinnamon for a super-delicious, energizing and balancing herbal tonic.
Throughout the day I drink hot water with lemon or cold water with fresh mint or cucumber, which is refreshing and hydrating.
In the evening, a glass of wine or tequila with lime juice are my favorite choices.
Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?
I tend to drive a lot, so I am between Podcasts, Audible and Spotify when I’m not on a call. I have a lot of creative friends whose Instagram accounts are always inspired…
One in particular is my friend Georgia’s @_itsbeautifulhere. Her travel blog has local insights and tips for a lot of places around the globe I look forward to spending time. My spotlight tips for Montecito can be found there as well.
What should everyone try at least once?
Remembering to be fully oneself and to stop worrying what anyone else thinks.
Where do you enjoy getting lost?
I am very content to be lost in nature.
I love walking or riding bikes, being slightly lost all over lower Manhattan at night. Flying down Madison Ave at midnight on a bicycle, in a dress… I basically couldn’t be happier.
I can also be happily lost at The Broad, the Guggenheim, MOMA, LACMA, or in small galleries anywhere for hours.
Or lost in Paris, which for me is quite easy to do! I am very happy anywhere with winding streets, beautiful architecture and lovely people.
