Polina-Montano-photo-280x280.jpg

My NativeAdVert:

Polina Montano is the co-founder and COO of Job Today. A serial entrepreneur with a background in retail, Russian-born Polina has a history of implementing her ideas and running her own businesses. Before founding Job Today with her friend Eugene Mizin, she managed six petrol stations in her chosen home Luxembourg. This gave her the idea for a mobile hiring solution. Together, they launched Job Today in Barcelona in April 2015. Within a year, Job Today was also operational in Madrid, Paris and London. Polina studied Business Administrations in Amsterdam and holds a Master Degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the University of Luxembourg.

My Goal of the Day: Keep things moving.

My Thought of the Day:  Eyes on the prize. Focus.

My Deed of the Day: Making sure my youngest makes it to bed on time: tomorrow is a school day!

My Tip of the Day: Life is too short to not be kind to others. Spread the joy!

A Day in My Life:

What do you love most about Your City?

If there is a place on earth to which I refer as my city – is Barcelona.  I have many wonderful memories related to this city, both personal and professional: this is the place where my company got started, JOB TODAY was launched in Barcelona. It’s a very special feeling for a founder: when a project that till now only existed in your mind as a dream does become reality. Magic.

Everything just comes together in Barcelona: great weather, seaside, amazing cultural life, active tech/innovation business scene, a city center full of architectural treasures and history, and last but not least - Mediterranean gastronomy…Catalonia happens to be the region of Spain with most Michelin stars restaurants, and that’s not a coincidence.

Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?

If I have time – I love to go for a short swim before heading to the office in the morning (summer time obviously). The beach is usually pretty quiet at that time. I stay 10 minutes for a cappuccino and an orange juice in the chiringuito (beach bar) – the best part is watching the sea

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM –  if I can – sleeping ☺

10:00 AM – Working: catching up on my calls and emails, meetings

12:00 PM - Favorite Lunch spot/meal? Carlota – nice Catalan tapas place around the corner of our first office. I have quite a few favorite dishes there, plus they have a tiny terrace that is a luxury in this area.

7:00 PM -  heading home to have dinner with my kids and play together a little / going for an after work with friends or making it to the gym (better late than never ☺)

11:00 PM – Chilling: reading a book or articles I did not get to during the day, or watching something: movies or Netflix. Or simply chatting with my friends.

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?  MANY. Morning coffee – can’t start my day without it ☺, lots of water throughout the day, glass of wine at dinner time/ after work, spicy tea as a night cap.

Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account? Spotify, Whatsapp, Slack. Not a big Instagrammer (yet)

What should everyone try at least once? Limitless options here: from Tango dancing in Buenos Aires, or visiting Maya temples as Chichen Itza to walking streets of magic places as Jerusalem or Rome - simply listening to the history that almost every building/ street can tell, it’s almost like you can feel the time going straight through you.

Where do you enjoy getting lost? My favorite place on earth is Barcelona. El Born and Gracia neighborhood are particularly nice to get lost in…

Where do you enjoy getting lost?

China Town in NYC

How did you get into the industry?:

I was living in NYC during my last year of college at Oneonta and about to graduate.  I was going to have to move home to Long Island unless I could come up with rent for the next month. I was working part time at an accessories factory and going on every interview that I could get in the fashion merchandising industry. My boss told me to interview where his daughter was currently working at a post-production company. From the moment I walked in to the interview for the receptionist position I knew this is where I had to work; not only was everyone wearing jeans, we were also shooting crumpled up paper through hoops into the garbage can throughout the entire interview!

Your key initiatives for the success of the Business? Greatest Accomplishment?:

While I was moving up through the ranks at Crew Cuts the climate of the industry was quite different than it is now a days. The industry & the environment were frenetic, creative and collaborative.  It was an industry where you could work hard and leave your stamp.  Working hard meant 12-18 hour days!  Long hours were the standard, working weekends were common, and most OT was scheduled last minute.  Despite working so much, the employees loved what they were doing and we felt we were contributing and making creative concepts come to life.  The atmosphere was “work hard, play harder” and I wanted to promote and expand on that.  Couldn’t this amazing industry be even more fun and even more generous for employees, allowing them to generate an even greater work ethic?  At my company “hanging out” is part of the job.  We’ve created an inclusive environment not only for the clients, but one where the employees could truly feel empowered.  Crew Cuts feels like a family and we boost productivity by giving employees back what they put in.

Career advice to those in your industry?

Network every contact possible to get your foot in the door.

Get over yourself and pay your dues. Work harder than you ever thought was possible without complaining.  Don’t expect to get anything handed to you.  Use your drive and passion to help you move forward & just go for it.  Be kind to everyone. Don’t take things personally, they never are.

What do you believe has been your most successful decisions and biggest mistake and how did you learn from your mistakes?

My most successful decision was to buy in to my company years ago & become an equity partner.  I was young and it was a huge investment and I had to take out a bank loan.  I went back and forth on this decision and ultimately decided that I would not let myself fail.  My hard work would be a part of the success of my company so I had to make it worth the risk.

One of my biggest mistakes earlier on in my career was underestimating client expectations and potentially undermining the relationship.  As I grow in work and in life the decision to “take the high road” is one of the most important lessons I’ve learned. The few times when I did not take this path, attempting to cut corners here or there, the situations escalated and only worsened the outcome. In this business, the customer is not necessarily always right. However, their needs and expectations must be managed, met or exceeded. Otherwise, you are at risk of losing a colleague and ultimately damaging a working relationship as well as your reputation.

What’s next for Nancy Jacobsen:

In the last few years Crew Cuts has launched in to production work as well. I’m excited to watch us expand our production arm. I’d also like to see us creating more social and digital work for more diverse media outlets. There is so much creative content needed for alternative mediums and we are in an exciting time where we can partner with clients we haven’t had the opportunity to work with in the past!

Chris Folayan: CEO, Marketplace Africa

0-2.jpeg

My NativeAdVert:

Chris Folayan is CEO of Marketplace Africa. Marketplace Africa, a joint venture between global shipping leader DHLand Africa’s e-commerce leader,  Mall for Africa, features more than 80 designers and a full range of accessories, as well as men’s fashion and gifts. The partnership takes the complexity and uncertainty out of global online shopping. DHL handles all logistics services for the marketplace, including an exclusive product-verification process prior to shipping, while Mall for Africa’s award-winning, patented e-commerce platform manages Marketplace Africa’s proprietary platform and payment system. So American shoppers have access to the innovative designers and craftspeople across Africa creating stunning, world-class products using both traditional and cutting-edge techniques, while African businesses are able to connect to new markets and new customers.

My Goal of the Day: Get through 3 contract proposals, 2 MOU reviews, talk to 4 merchants and get on a call with my executive staff about out sales numbers for the month.

My Thought of the Day:  Actions you take today determine your tomorrow.

My Action of the Day: Make sure I reflect on what I am blessed to have and be thankful for it big or small. Ensure I deliver on all aspects of my goals and call the call center.

My Deed of the Day: Make sure I talk to at least 1 sales person and 2 customer service center employees.

My Tip of the Day: The best way to find out if your company is doing well is to talk to the people who interact with your customers daily. The call center. They are the heartbeat of your organization. The ones who know firsthand if you are doing well or not.

My Pic of the Day;

A Day in My Life:

What do you love most about Your City?

I live in so may places due to the nature of my job. I am always bouncing between London, Nigeria, and California. But when it comes to where I call home that has to be Lagos, Nigeria. Where I was born and raised. I love everything about Lagos. The hustle and drive people have, the energy and drive towards entrepreneurship, and the hoops and hurdles you have to go through every day to get things done. Nigeria is a place where everyday a new challenge presents itself and you simply have to figure out a way. Such scenarios keep you on your toes and make you a better wiser person.

Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?  Favorite breakfast meal is French Toast with honey and some eggs.  Favorite restaurant of all times has to be RockSugar in Los Angeles.

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM – Today I am in a meeting with my executive staff at 6AM going over projections and marketing budgets and plans for next month.

10:00 AM – I am reviewing an MOU with my staff for a partnership we have been working on for several months now. Hoping we can conclude on all the parameters so we can execute and get this going.  The goal is to conclude the MOU process and submit to the partner right after the meeting.

12:00 PM - Favorite Lunch spot/meal?

For a quick bite to eat in California I love In-N-Out burgers.

7:00 PM -  By this time I am having dinner with my family spending some quality time. I do my best when in California to always ensure I am at the dinner table with my family.

11:00 PM – Believe it or not I am getting ready for my next day. Preparing my calendar, understanding what is expected and due the next day. Reading whatever material I need to so I can sleep on it and take the time to develop a well thought out approach. Sleeping on ideas is really the best. I have found this to always yield a more rational decision. By midnight I am getting ready for bed. But always depends on what I have planned the next day.

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?

I really enjoy a cup of hot chocolate in the morning and drink water for the rest of the day (6-8 bottles).

Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?

Most used app is mine, The Mall for Africa App. And most used Instagram account is my new online site I created with DHL, Marketplace Africa. The platform enables African artisans to sell their one-of-a-kind handmade products to the US and global market. I am obsessed with my companies, our products, and our social media accounts.

What should everyone try at least once?

Everyone should try to visit a and help the less fortunate at least once to understand how blessed they are now.

Where do you enjoy getting lost?

Priya Malani: Founding Partner, Stash Wealth

SpencerKohn_Priya_Stash_Wealth-1163.jpg

My NativeAdVert:

Priya Malani is an entrepreneur and founding partner at Stash Wealth, a financial planning firm for H.E.N.R.Y.s™ [High Earners, Not Rich Yet]. After years of working on Wall Street, Priya left to work with millennials, who are largely ignored by traditional financial firms. Stash’s clients are 20- and 30-somethings who make good money and want something to show for it. In addition to running Stash, Priya serves as the resident financial expert for Refinery29. She is a featured expert on numerous sites including Girlboss, Brides, SHAPE, Bustle, PureWow, Gawker, The Coveteur, Cheddar, CNBC and Forbes. She speaks regularly at businesses and universities around the country, and has been invited to speak at Cornell, Harvard, New York University, Yelp, Twitter, Cole Haan, IBM, Blue Apron, Ernst and Young, Vox Media and more. She appears regularly as a Millennial Money Expert on SiriusXM.

My Goal of the Day: Get to the gym and be in bed by 9:30pm (so I can waste 30 mins on Insta stories before hitting the pillow, obv)

My Thought of the Day: Impossible only describes the degree of difficulty

My Action of the Day: Further the mission of Stash Wealth and change the way Millennials think about their money.

My Deed of the Day: Supported an entrepreneur-in-the-making. There was a middle schooler selling “reindeers” on the street. They were made from mini tree trunks and branches, so I bought one. $25 well spent.

My Tip of the Day: Save First, Blow The Rest #reversebudget. Had to go with my top finance tip here because this tip has changed so many clients’ lives. Don’t save whatever’s left after you spend. Spend whatever’s left after you save. Bonus Tip: Save with purpose - know what you’re saving for!!

My Pic of the Day: (any additional pic that expresses something special)

I’m consider myself a foodie – what self-respecting Millennial doesn’t?  In scrolling through my phone for a “pic of the day”, the recurring theme was food pics. I had this dish for the first time about a month ago and have been back for it 3 times since - I may even go later tonight. The beauty is in its simplicity. It’s basically just bowl of ricotta cheese and some toasted bread – but it’s magic.

0-3.jpeg

A Day in My Life:

What do you love most about Your City? Sinatra’s lyric, “if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere” is extremely motivating to me, personally and professionally. I appreciate a challenge and New York City is a city of extremes - nothing is more challenging than that. The city is simultaneously amazing and frustrating. The good moments are energizing and the bad moments are humbling. Anyone who’s lived here probably has a love hate relationship with it. We’re all here for the opportunities with full realization that we have to accept and deal with the limitations - which creates a sense of camaraderie for all who live here.

Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?

That’s an impossible answer to nail down because it ranges from Lobster Eggs Benedict to cold pizza, dipped in ketchup (who am I kidding?!). In this city, it’s impossible to pick a favorite restaurant, so I’ll pick one in another part of the world: Bukhara in New Delhi, India.

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM – I have a standing 6:30am call with my dev team most mornings. I’m up around 6 and the first thing I do is chug a glass of water mixed with a shot of apple cider vinegar.

10:00 AM – Most likely I’m at the office doing any number of things from calls to meetings.

12:00 PM - Favorite Lunch spot/meal?

In keeping with how things are done in the finance industry, we don’t take a formal lunch break and everyone eats at their desk. I stay pretty regimented: soups in the winter, salads in the summer, but every so often a Dos Toros Carnitas Burrito will find its way onto my desk.

7:00 PM -  I work late Mondays-Wednesdays and usually have a work-related event on Thursdays.

11:00 PM – Asleep as of an hour ago.

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)? I try not to “need” anything and stick to water mostly. But when I remember, I’ll make myself a cup of green tea. I like coffee, but it’s more of a weekend thing for me. I’m an obnoxious Starbucks orderer #sorrynotsorry. My adult beverages of choice rotate between red wine, champagne, or a spicy tequila-based cocktail.

Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?

My NativeAdVert:

Ayana Lage is a fashion and lifestyle blogger based in Tampa, Florida with a background in digital media and content marketing. She’s worked for Bustle, the Tampa Bay Times, the Miami Herald, and numerous freelance clients. As a blogger, she’s worked with 40+ lifestyle brands. My Goal of the Day: To get as much done as I can without overdoing it.

My Thought of the Day: There’s enough grace to finish everything that needs to be done today.

My Action of the Day: Making neat pictures.

My Deed of the Day: Spending time with family — there’s more to life than Instagram.

My Tip of the Day: If you don’t feel like being creative, that’s okay. Taking breaks is normal, especially when it isn’t your primary source of income.

My Pic of the Day:

A Day in My Life:

What do you love most about Your City? Its small-town feel. Tampa is huge, but you end up feeling like you know everyone. I also love the people and quirky culture.

Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?

The Lutz Bubba at Brunchie’s in Tampa. It’s terribly unhealthy but the best Southern breakfast in town.

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM – Sleeping. I’m a night owl — I’d much rather be up at 1 a.m. than up at 6 a.m.

10:00 AM - Let’s assume it’s a weekend. I’m likely on the couch watching Premier League football with my husband, brainstorming photo spots for the day. Checking my work email to make sure nothing urgent is happening at my day job. (I’m a digital marketing specialist.)

12:00 PM - Favorite Lunch spot/meal?

Easy. The Sexy Geisha roll from Kelp Sushi or the Curry Chicken Salad sandwich from Oxford Exchange.

7:00 PM -  An intimate dinner with my husband — and we try to keep our phones away.

11:00 PM - Editing photos and writing blog posts.

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)? Diet Coke, for sure. Or a blonde cappuccino. The more caffeine, the better.

Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?

Headspace, 8mm, 1SE. The first is for meditation; the latter two are fun ways to capture what’s happening around me. My favorite influencer is — by far — Tessa Barton, or @tezza.

What should everyone try at least once?

Therapy. I’m not kidding — if everyone committed to one therapy session in their lifetime, we’d all be kinder.

Where do you enjoy getting lost?

I’m not an outdoorsy person, so I’ve gotta say a thrift store. Seriously, sifting through piles of clothing for hours is calming for me. I think it teaches me patience.

My Goal of the Day: Get 5 REAL tasks done. 5 is DOABLE, 5 allows for goals to be met.

My Thought of the Day: If this was easy, I wouldn’t be doing it.

My Action of the Day: I will make those around me laugh, oh yes. (rubs hands together in devious way)

My Deed of the Day: Help those around me who need a kind gesture.

My Tip of the Day: Wash your face at night, even if you’re super cozy in bed. A clean nighttime face is a happy face!

My Pic of the Day: Everyday I spend hours at this desk running my Photography and SkinCare Businesses, with this guy is by my side. His name is Woodward and we adopted him 7 years ago. Recently a company who put placed me on their pro team, asked me for a picture of my office. I imagine they thought I had a polished office with marble and peonies. Well honestly, I have corkboards, too many hard drives and this guy giving me the look. I love that it’s on their site under “Our pro’s workspaces”.  It’s perfect.

0-1.jpeg

A Day in My Life:

What do you love most about Your City? I love that I can drive in 4 different directions for just hour or two, and end up in a totally different climate.

Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant? There’s a little mom and pop diner called Magnolia Grille(Burbank/Toluca Lake) that makes my husband and I a custom California Benedict with Corned Beef Hash added to it. We split it and it’s perfect. I’m pretty sure I growl while eating it.

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM – Im soooooo sleeping. There’s 3 giant cats in the bed. A rabbit is nudging my head.

10:00 AM – Drinking coffee, juggling emails while singing to my cats.

12:00 PM - Favorite Lunch spot/meal?

Mendocino Farms Cobb Salad with Vegan Ranch or the Superfood Salad, No doubt.

7:00 PM -  My husband and I watch Jeopardy, and act like we know all the answers. We don’t.

11:00 PM – Nighttime skincare routine time! Some nights it’s a full spectrum of our products. Some nights I’m lucky if I conjure the energy to brush my teeth and wash my face with Makeup Assassin. You cant win em all.

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)? Passionfruit Iced Tea with Stevia 1 or 2 BIG OLE SIPPY CUPS

Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?

I love IG #BEAUTYGRAM. All the flat lays looking all shiny and beautiful faces, doing what they love.

Some people see a gate and they will stop. Others don’t hesitate to go around to get where they want to go. Sometimes I’m the person who sees the barrier and stops. Sometimes I’m the person who just walks around the obstacle.

A Day in My Life:

What do you love most about Your City?

On my Facebook profile I list my home as Earth because I travel so often that no one city is home, and I make myself at home wherever I am. It’s so easy to find something to love about every city. In the past seven days I’ve slept in four different cities and each is My City when I’m there – because that’s where my life is happening! (Tonight, I’m in Toronto where what I love most is my friend Glenna.)

Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?

I don’t usually eat breakfast, but when I have breakfast meetings in New York City, it’s my great pleasure to take guests to the Rockefeller Center Club where I have an egg white omelet with spinach, mushrooms, and tomatoes, dry white toast, and too much coffee.

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM – Reading newspapers, and watching CNBC in bed with my husband.

10:00 AM – Email, email, email. (I am never, ever caught up.)

12:00 PM – Favorite Lunch spot/meal?

I love a Sweetgreen Kale Caesar or Shroomami.

7:00 PM – Yoga, or some other physical activity toward my daily goals. (For most of my life, the answer would have been “watching Jeopardy,” but I quit cold turkey this year.)

11:00 PM – If I’m not in bed (I should be), I’m probably still answering emails and writing on deadline. I already did tomorrow’s NYTimes Crossword puzzle on the app, and I probably promised to quit again because I get so annoyed at the paid product placements in the puzzle; but then I remember how hard it is for journalism to be profitable, so I keep paying and playing.

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)? Water. Tap water is fine. Cold-cold-cold-still-not-sparkling-no-lime-no-lemon-no-thank-you water is my favorite thing to drink, and I probably drink a gallon a day.

Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?

Fitbit (How did I sleep? How many miles have I walked? How many steps so far this hour?) and Curb, because if I’m not walking, I’m in a cab.

What should everyone try at least once?

This question challenges several of my basic beliefs.

1. Yoda says, “There is no try. Do or do not.” I live by that.

2. I also don’t embrace the concept of “should.” I believe we “get to” do things, we choose. There’s no joy in people “should-ing” all over themselves.

3. There are few experiences which would be appropriate for “everyone” except basic body functions, because we are all so very different!

That said, anyone looking to stretch their boundaries might consider taking an improv class. It can help you lighten up and take yourself less seriously, play well with others, think fast, and get outside of your comfort zone.

Where do you enjoy getting lost? In thought, in a good book, in a beautiful movie, in my husband’s beautiful blue eyes. But never, ever do I enjoy getting lost geographically. I’m “directionally declined” and have been desperately and depressingly and distressingly lost thousands of times, not exaggerating. GPS changed my life.

A Day in My Life:

What do you love most about Your City?

The city is my canvas that I paint with my bold sense of style. There is an endless array of opportunities and things to explore in New York, which is why I truly believe I will live here all my life (but travel a lot, of course).

Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?

Poached eggs with smoked salmon. For brunch, Hotel Chantelle in Lower Manhattan is forever my favorite.

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM – Sleeping!

10:00 AM – On weekdays, I’m at school. On weekends, I’m either taking pics at a pop-up shop in the city or at dance class.

12:00 PM - Favorite Lunch spot/meal?

Pietro Nolita. It’s an all-pink restaurant that has the most delicious fish specials I have ever tasted—their branzino never gets old.

7:00 PM - Writing my next blog post on my rose gold MacBook laptop.

11:00 PM – Finishing up a TV show and getting ready to go to bed. I need to head to sleep early in order to feel refreshed for the next day.

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?

Water! I try to aim for 64 oz each day, which is a lofty goal.

Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?

Instagram, by far! I love following inspiring publications such as @seventeen and @teenvogue.

What should everyone try at least once?

A dance class—it can change your whole perspective on life (see more detail below).

Where do you enjoy getting lost?

I love going to dance class because it’s easy to get lost in the music and movement. All outside worries temporarily dissipate and I’m able to express myself freely and without judgment.

Kresse Wesling MBE: Co-Founder, Elvis & Kresse

2011_kresse-wesling_profil_0.jpg

My NativeAdVert:

Kresse Wesling is Co-Founder of Elvis & Kresse. Since 2005 Elvis & Kresse have been rescuing raw materials, transforming them into luxury lifestyle accessories and donating 50% of profits back to charities. In 2005 we had a chance encounter with the London Fire Brigade. When we learned that London's damaged decommissioned hoses were headed to landfill we mounted a rescue. We set up Elvis & Kresse to save it. For over a decade none of London’s fire-hose has gone to landfill and over 170 tons of material has been reclaimed. In 2017 the Burberry Foundation partnered with Elvis & Kresse to tackle the even greater global problem of leather waste. This Five-year partnership will see at least 120 tonnes of leather off-cuts from Burberry recrafted into new luxury items, designed and sold by Elvis & Kresse.

My Goal of the Day: To complete the tasks I have set for myself.

My Thought of the Day: I definitely have too many different thoughts within a day to pick just one!

My Action of the Day: To keep moving - physically and mentally.

My Deed of the Day: Elvis & Kresse was established to solve raw material problems, every day that the business survives, that is what we are doing.

My Tip of the Day: Do More, Be Better

My Pic of the Day:

E5ayr2kA.jpeg

A Day in My Life:

What do you love most about Your City?

We don’t live in a city and there is so much to love about that - the real darkness, the quiet, the fresh air, the wildlife, the water that makes up 180 degrees of our view, the places to run and walk with our dog…

Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?

Some kind of oatmeal or muesli at my desk.

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM – Sleeping or running or cross training.

10:00 AM - Working - either in the workshop or out at meetings

12:00 PM - Favorite Lunch spot/meal?

My favourite spot is just outside our workshop on a sunny summer day, looking over the mill pond at the ducks. Lunch is almost always a cheese sandwich or leftovers.

7:00 PM -  Just getting back from a long walk with Elvis & Monty (our dog).

11:00 PM - Heading to bed.

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?

Water. I like other drinks of course, but water is all I need.

Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?

WhatsApp - it is the best way to stay in touch with friends and family, particularly in small groups.

What should everyone try at least once?

Something they never thought they would be capable of.

Where do you enjoy getting lost?

When I am running - pretty much anywhere in the world. I really love not quite knowing how long I will be, where I am, how I will get back and how much help I might need in order to do that. My sense of direction is not spectacular.

WHAT IS ONE ASPECT OF YOUR CAREER THAT YOUR YOUNGER SELF WOULD FIND THE MOST BIZARRE?

My younger self wouldn't question my motivations or impact focus, but she would never have predicted the industry we are in. In fact, my current self sometimes finds this bizarre too. When we promised to rescue London's fire-hoses we did not know where this would lead us. We fell in love with the hose, all of its history, properties and potential and this is why we do what we do; it was extensive fire-hose R&D that led us to luxury.

Jenny Ng Mei Mei: Filmmaker

unnamed-3.jpg

My NativeAdVert:

Jenny is from a tiny city island called Singapore. Like every other Singaporean, she studied hard in school and earned herself a business degree. But right after graduation, she decided against being too predictable. Without any experience, she ventured into the creative field. First as an advertising copywriter, then a scriptwriter, and now, a TVC director. Due to her several identities rolled into one, she would rather be known as a Creative Dabbler. Someone who dabbles with ideas and possibilities, because there is no end to her imagination. Her main career? She thinks, she daydreams, she writes, she films. For the past 15 years, she has been keeping her mind and soul busy with her writing, storytelling and filmmaking craft.

My Goal of the Day: To start and end each day with a smile.

My Thought of the Day: What should I eat today that will make me really happy?

My Action of the Day: To wake, to pray, to work.

My Deed of the Day: To have been alive and well enough to get to work.

My Tip of the Day: To be thankful for everything you have and don’t have.

Paola Gugliotta: Co-Founder & Creative Director, Sepai Skincare

unnamed-1.jpg

My NativeAdVert:

Paola Gugliotta is the co-Founder and Director of Sepai Laboratories, a technologically advanced skincare brand that fuses the cleanest, purest and most reparative and effective components available for treatment of the skin. Born and raised in Venezuela to Italian parents, Paola studied several artistic degrees, and left her country with only 22 years to live in Italy, Paris until settling down in Spain where she obtained an MBA from ESADE, one of Europe’s top Business School. After building a career and holding various managerial positions within the skincare industry, she realized the next natural step to feel fulfilled would be to take an in-depth look at and specialize in the study of skincare formulation, dermo-cosmetics and active ingredients specializing on the biotechnology applied to skincare.

Her interest in formulations was piqued early on by her mother, who built a successful career as a professional biologist in the pharmaceutical industry with a specialization in biotechnology. Her childhood haunts included her mother’s laboratory where she saw firsthand the fusion of components and learned "action vs. reaction". Seeing how laboratory work could effectively enrich the lives of others, her instincts led her to create Sepai, in turn enhancing and improving the conditions and ailments of individuals who are seeking clean, effective no-fuss skincare. Fascinated with creating and developing beauty concepts and products, Paola’s passion is to materialize ideas and develop them paradigm free:“I am in a journey towards the perfection of the safest and most effective skincare, where a constant research of the pathway of the formulations is paramount. My long-term goal is Educate the consumer about the the skin, which means: Don´t give them the answers, but make them think a little bit further.

As CEO of Sepai Beauticeutical Division, I have been able to develop the brands sepai.eu ,  gendecode.sepai.eu and most recently apoem.eu. Amazingly unique paths to beauty. As a globetrotting businesswoman, wife and mother, Paola knows and understands the pressures and hectic way of life as well as the need for perfection and optimization of time and resources. Events and circumstances of daily life led her to continue her passion of discovery and simplifying the lives of others, and to transfer her knowledge and experience into a skincare line with universal appeal--one that is highly effective with a targeted, simplified and potent mix of complimentary and technologically advanced components. Sepai Beauty is headquartered in Barcelona, Spain, where Paola lives with her husband and three children.

My Goal of the Day: to inspire my kids to be curious, interested and analytical about what surrounds them.

My Thought of the Day: my difficulties have been my best lessons, without them I would`ve never achieved the experience I have today.

My Action of the Day: forget about the job deadlines and focus my attention on my kids, that need me so much.

My Deed of the Day: Stay calm and focused, don’t take situations personally.

My Tip of the Day: Before you say something ask yourself: is it true? is it helpful? is  it necessary? is it kind?

My Pic of the Day:

unnamed-2.jpg

A Day in My Life:

What do you love most about Your City?

Barcelona is a unique place, small and easy, the sea is within 20 minutes and so are the mountains. And the weather and the fantastic sunny days we have along the whole year are absolutely amazing.

Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?

Just a cappuccino, but it must be Italian style.. which is not easy… the best way to get it is doing it myself.. this is what you learn from an italian mamma: she can cook and prepare anything better than any restaurant.

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM – Still sleeping, my alarm clock is set at 7 am.. We are in  Europe.. you know..

10:00 AM – I am at the laboratory formulating the next launches for my brands, meeting suppliers of active ingredients or in congresses of dermatology getting to know the latest discoveries in the field to test them ASAP.

12:00 PM - Favorite Lunch spot/meal?

I skip lunch: I practice fastening for longevity purposes and also I work non stop from 9 to 4 so I can pick up the kids at school.

7:00 PM -  Is the juggler’s time: I am preparing dinner (and next day lunch for my teenager kid) while doing laundry, washing uniforms and preparing the snack boxes for the next day, checking the 2 younger kids agendas and answering some work calls all at the same time.

11:00 PM – You will find me writing a couple of emails while watching Netflix.

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?

I forget to drink very often… but 2 coffees each day are compulsory.

Emma Frey: Author, Earnestly Emma Blog

0-1.jpeg

My NativeAdVert:

My name is Emma Frey, Author of Earnestly Emma Blog. I started blogging in December of 2017. I had dabbled in several different blogs but would soon lose interest and dedication. This time around was different, and I really put the effort in to build a good website. I also worked hard at building my Instagram account. I learned about aesthetic, engagement, and planning out meaningful content.

I wanted to focus my blog around Midwest life seen through a rose gold lens. I work a full-time job, so I wanted to use this space to show that it’s possible to still explore your city and discover new experiences even if you’re not a full-time blogger. Followers will have a chance to peer into my life and see glimpses of: fashion, thrifting, food, dance, gardening, and more!

My Goal of the Day: Make today count.

My Thought of the Day: God has blessed me so much.

My Action of the Day: Do the best I can do

My Tip of the Day: Always thank God for your blessings.

I love the sense of community that resides within St. Louis. Over the past year or so I’ve really tried to explore this city and try new restaurants, local boutiques, and meet new people. Businesses really show support to one another and rally together to boost business and promote lasting friendships.

My favorite breakfast has to consist of pancakes, two eggs over-easy, a couple pieces of bacon, a few slices of toast with raspberry jam, coffee, and orange juice!

11 p.m. - I try to be in bed by 11 p.m. on weekdays!

What drink to get me through the day and at the end?

I rely on coffee to get me through work and then once I’m home for the night, I like to sip on either Pinot Grigio or Pinot Noir.

Most used app and favorite instagram account

Instagram has to be the app that I use most frequently. One of my favorite accounts to follow is @missmarypowers! Lover her feed, inspiration and her encouragement.

What should everyone try at least once?

Everyone should try going out of their way to do something kind for someone else, even if they don’t know them.

Aneela Zaman: Founder & CEO, Zaman Skincare

51d1Z+9Md7L._UX250_.jpg

My NativeAdVert:

Aneela Zaman, Founder/CEO, began her career as a makeup artist in 1997 working in film, television and print across North America. Her celebrity clientele consisted of TV personalities, models, and large brands in the fashion industry. “As an artist, in my early twenties, I believed the face was the canvas; I was all about putting color onto the face." says Aneela when asked about her beginnings in the beauty field. "By my mid-forties I realized it was really all about maintaining radiant skin, as we age we lose that special glow and elasticity in our skin. I knew it was vital to feed the skin with nourishing ingredients to help hydrate it and in turn create flawless radiant skin, and that's when I decided to reach out to my dad!"

My Goal for the day: Daily goal setting is necessary to achieve success. Creating and following a daily routine keeps me focused on the tasks that need to be accomplished. My most important goal of the day is to answer all correspondences. From responding to emails to returning phone calls and reviewing comments and concerns from my brand's website, I always hold myself accountable for communicating in an efficient and timely manner. But, before any of this happens, I call my parents first to tell them that I love them. Dad is 83, mom is 74; they live in Toronto while I'm in Los Angeles.

My Thought of the day: Another day of life, what a  blessing!! So grateful to be doing what I love and building an incredible skincare brand, Zaman Skincare.

My Action of the day: Smile as often as I can and make direct eye contact with people when they are speaking to me. Too often, people are looking down at their cell phones while missing opportunities to connect with others. I love actively engaging with others, even if it's while in a line at a local coffee shop.

My Deed of the day: I love to make others feel beautiful and confident in their own skin. We all have the power to make someone else feel special, make them laugh, to say something nice to them so they feel good about themselves. Positive energy is a must in my world.

My Tip of the day: Get up, move around and reach for the stars!

My Pic of the Day:

A Day in My Life:

What I love the most about my city:

I cannot survive without sunshine and the ocean. I live in Marina Del Rey, CA so I walk down to the beach every morning. I also love all the healthy food choices here (it's not hard being a vegetarian out here).

Favorite breakfast meal:

Avocado toast at Cafe Gratitude.

6:00 am -  Waking up, getting into workout clothes, walking down to the beach or hitting the gym.

10:00 am - Getting into my car and driving to Beverly Hills.

12:00 pm - Favorite lunch spot

Mauro's Cafe at Fred Segal on Melrose & Crescent Heights. Favorite meal: penne con porcini or the quinoa salad.

7:00 pm - It all depends on what day of the week it is. I'm either meeting friends for dinner or cooking a meal at home.

11:00 pm - Showered and in bed, my task list for the next day is dotted down. I may indulge in a little social media before shutting down.

The drink I need most to get me through my day?

Coffee in the morning. I enjoy a hot cup of water with a teaspoon of Fennel seeds and Kalonji (sister to Black Cumin) at the end of my day. This homemade tea is great for digestion.

Favorite App/Insta Account?

I love the Airbrush App. The Instagram account I love to follow is the good quote for positive infusion. For inspiration, Chanel baby! It's clean, elegant and timeless.

What everyone should try once?

At least once in your life, you should take yourself out on a fancy date. I did this when I was doing the Artist Way journey. It was beyond self-empoweringl. I drove myself to Santa Barbara, had a yummy lunch at a cute restaurant, got a massage, took my myself out for dinner and really pampered myself. In today's society, I think people find it challenging to do things on their own and to enjoy their own company. This was a great exercise on learning to be truly comfortable with yourself.

Where do you enjoy getting lost?

I love getting lost in a bookstore!  So many places and journeys to discover through books. I can literally go in there and spend hours!!

Rebecca van Bergen: Founder & Executive Director, NEST

rebeccaberg.jpg

My NativeAdVert:

Rebecca van Bergen is Founder and Executive Director of Nest. She graduated with her Masters Degree in Social Work the same year that Muhammad Yunus won the Nobel Peace Prize. Having grown up with a great-grandmother and grandmother who were quilters and sewers, Rebecca was drawn to craftsmanship as a means of self-expression and opportunity. Following her passion to turn craft, the second largest employer of women globally, into a means to correct the gender and income imbalance in our world, Rebecca founded Nest at age 24. Nest is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) building a new handworker economy to increase global workforce inclusivity, improve women’s wellbeing beyond factories, and preserve important cultural traditions around the world.

My Goal of the Day: Ensure ethical handcraft has a growing place in our economy.

My Thought of the Day: As we push the boundaries of technology; our souls will always want to be connected to the handmade.

My Action of the Day: Reviewed the product tags for the first round of products that will be on consumer shelves in January carrying Nest’s newly launched Seal of Ethical Handcraft so that shoppers can be assured that the goods they are purchasing were made with handworker wellbeing at the forefront.

My Deed of the Day: Include my kids in our work. My husband and I are business partners and we have two kids -- a 3-year-old and 5-year-old. We believe that equally important to our professional lives is ensuring we are bringing an empathetic and action-oriented next generation into the world. This includes not only having conversations with our kids but also organizing activities with neighborhood kids and families as well. I host a monthly volunteer activity that includes both kids of all ages as well as their parents to encourage family activism.

My Tip of the Day: People say visionaries look at the mountains. This is true – we must have a vision for the future we want to create. But, equally important is looking down at your feet and knowing how to take the first steps towards getting there. I live by to-do lists and making our vision for the future as practical and doable as possible – one step at a time. I believe firmly that we would make a lot more progress as a society if every day, we translated our hopes for the future (albeit it professional, personal, or political) into steps we can walk towards every day.

Avocado toast. I love it from anywhere, but often it is at the local diner in our town before hopping on the train into NYC.

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM – Snuggling on our couch with my two kids as they have warm milk to start their day and I sip a Lady Gray tea. They are still waking up and willing to be held, and it is, to me, the most magical hour!

10:00 AM – Arriving into Grand Central. I commute to the city from our home in Katonah, NY and love the routine of starting my day with an hour of emails on the train before the bustle of meetings and phone calls begins.

12:00 PM - Favorite Lunch spot/meal?

Leftovers! We love to cook and with a local CSA farm share, we always have a plethora of fresh ingredients on hand. We always bring in our lunch but try to carve out time to officially enjoy it, though, honestly, it is usually downed while simultaneously writing emails or having a quick meeting.

7:00 PM -  Arriving home. Sipping a glass of red wine while my husband cooks us something for dinner. The kids are usually energized by our arrival home so chatter on about what they did at school and what they are thinking about. We tell them about our day and try to bring them into the world of Nest.

11:00 PM – Sound asleep. Early to bed, early to rise.

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?

I start with Lady Gray tea with milk and end with a glass of wine (red in the fall and winter; white in the spring and summer). Throughout the day, I am never without a bottle of water in hand. Hydration is key!

Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?

Most used App is WhatsApp. We create WhatsApp groups for our artisan partners and I love participating in their conversations or observing them in dialogue with one another. Nest’s work to link artisan leaders as peers and collaborators is a perfect example of the collective might of the artisan community. It is often through these less formal communication channels that we really see people opening up, sharing and collaborating. I love following the work of our artisan partners and I’m currently having fun following the dreamy world of @sidaidesigns who creates hand beaded jewelry made by Maasai women in Tanzania and East Africa. @sonicasarna and @haitidesignco are others who are share beautiful photos not only of the products they make but also of the artisans who made them.

What should everyone try at least once?

Crafting. With mass manufacturing, we are no longer making as much with our own hands. Yet, the patience and pride that comes from making can be really profound. It can be done alone, bringing calm and meditative qualities to our lives or in groups as a way to socialize. I think returning to making things by hand is an essential counter-balancing force to the continued obsession we have with technology and devices.

Where do you enjoy getting lost?

An artisan market anywhere in the world. I love all the stalls of goods, the women selling, the sounds, smells and textures. It gives you a glimpse into the plethora of skills, colors and raw materials used in a single place.

Devi Brulé: Film & Commercial Director

devibruel.jpg

My NativeAdVert:

Devi Brulé is a film and commercial director known for her visual sophistication and use of sensory detail to stir emotion and desire. Raised on a secluded island in Washington, her childhood was steeped in nature — now a rich inspiration for her work. Her style is often characterized by an intimate aesthetic, revealing a detailed fascination with texture and human touch, and a reverence for small wonders — light, breath, the purity of the natural world.

Her film Euphoria won coveted Best in Show and Gold Davey Awards, as well as festival honors for Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, and an Audience Choice Award. Devi has directed for Calvin Klein, Olay, Burt's Bees, Unilever, Nestle and Walmart, among others. She also directed a branded series starring Ashton Kutcher and featuring Jason Bateman, Kim Kardashian and Gary Busey.  She is most at home out in the elements, capturing wild landscapes and foreign terrains on a quest for the ethereal.

My Goal of the Day: Connect with inspiration, focus on the good, and learn something that will contribute to my growth, my relationships, or my creative voice.

My Thought of the Day: I am the observer. I am not my passing thoughts and fears.

My Action of the Day: Keep my attitude positive/helpful, and do something in support of a long-term vision of beauty and wholeness – for myself and for the world.

My Deed of the Day: Bring a smile to someone’s face, offer a compliment, or make someone feel really listened to.

My Tip of the Day: Intentionally look for positive aspects. You get what you continually look for and expect, and your focus winds up ruling your days – and ultimately, your direction in life.

What do you love most about Your City?

Los Angeles is crazy-ambitious, full of people taking creative action and collaborating. People here dream of greatness, and in spite of all the hurdles, they’re still striving to achieve their dream. So many, many people have their dreams crushed out of them, or let them go because time passes or they have kids and somehow “it just isn’t reasonable.” So quickly we become downtrodden, or fail to see any creative way to pursue a calling. Continually honoring your inner vision is a tremendous feat, especially when it can take a couple decades or more to bear meaningful fruit. L.A. has so much tenacity, and I really respect that.

Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?

Recently I’ve discovered the ease and luxury of poached eggs at home. My boyfriend has figured out a few tricks and is becoming quite the chef. I’m also a big fan of waffles with berries and cream, but let’s be real, that’s not a regular occurrence... Notably, I try to relax while eating, and set aside other activities so I’m more present at the table.

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM:  Alarm – tea – meditate. Walk, or sit and appreciate the birds with tea slowly warming my insides. It’s so important for me to set my attitude first thing in the morning. It’s the difference between a mediocre day of overwhelm, and a patient day of productivity and ease. Plus if my mind isn’t in a good state, it affects those around me. So especially for leading a team, it’s paramount to set my mind on the right track.

10:00 AM: Depending on the phase of production, I may be writing a pitch, writing a commercial treatment, making a lookbook, in a casting session, location scouting, directing on set, editing footage, reviewing audio, meeting with collaborators, talking with my manager, or reading a script. This is what I love about being in film/advertising and working freelance – there’s so much variety.

12:00 PM - Favorite Lunch spot/meal?

Sitting next to someone I love, pretty much anywhere. Village Bakery in Atwater is great – it’s a true bakery so you can pick up a loaf of sourdough, too. Alcove Café has a nice atmosphere and big patio, and I love being outside so I have a lot of meetings there. I tend to eat a very late breakfast, so lunch often slides into the afternoon or combines with dinner.

7:00 PM: Usually still churning – editing, color correction, emails, submitting a new cut of a commercial. Sometimes there’s a special screening or industry workshop. More often I go for a walk around sunset/dusk to reinvigorate and connect with myself. When I’m not under deadline, I may start to wind down and watch a movie. That’s usually later though. I dream of one day accomplishing everything for the day by 7pm and I’m asleep by 9:30 – Adult Ambitions.

11:00 PM:  I hope to be asleep by now. Often I’m finishing a movie or binge-watching a series. Or discussing historical geo-politics and the future of humanity with my Mensa boyfriend.

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?

I’m very much a tea enthusiast. Black tea first thing in the morning. Followed by green tea or more black. I must have decaf options, though; being highly caffeinated doesn’t quite go with my zen ambitions. Usually mint or nettle tea in the afternoon. And water!

What should everyone try at least once?

Active Curiosity. Intentionally try on someone else’s perspective, particularly with something that irritates you or feels utterly foreign. This could be simply asking genuine questions in conversation, and really using your imagination. It could be reading something you suspect will go against your model of the world. This is really about genuine curiosity. Most people know their opinion and are sticking to it, but it’s a lack of curiosity that kills businesses, relationships, and unfortunately now our planet. Authentic curiosity is a reviver of empathy and life.

Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?

I’m fascinated with @stayandwander. Talk about composition… I’m easily seduced by nature, and especially love unique landscapes and weaving the natural world into my work. Stay & Wander has a way of also including something human in the frame, and their images look like they’re right out of a wild, elegant commercial. I love that.

Where do you enjoy getting lost?

In the forest, definitely – especially on the island where I grew up. Also in a great film or book. On Pinterest when I’m building a visual treatment. And in tunnels of video essays deconstructing filmic/storytelling technique.

My Pic of the Day: “I Love My City” photo from Marseilles

elainesandler1.jpg

A Day in My Life:

What do you love most about Your City?

I live outside of Washington, D.C. and what I really love most is that I have access to multiple cities – I can go into D.C., Maryland, or Northern Virginia. I work from home and, at times, can work from just about anywhere, so having coffee shops and other spots where I can be with people but alone, either in a more urban or suburban environment – so many choices – is very special.

Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?

I love Egg In a Hole! My favorite breakfast spots, though, are actually in Boston, where I work for small parts of the year. Tatte is wonderful.

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM – Sitting at the breakfast table with my kids.

10:00 AM – Zoom Meeting with my colleagues.

12:00 PM - Favorite Lunch spot/meal?

My favorite lunch spots are in Boston! I love Saloniki in the Fenway. Greek food, bright and sunny spot, lots of positive energy.

7:00 PM – Quiet play with my kids. (Who am I kidding? It’s not always so quiet!)

11:00 PM – Asleep and dreaming.

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?

Coffee, coffee, coffee. Not three coffees. Maybe two.

Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?

I am really in love with Insight Timer right now – I can set different bell sounds to begin and end a meditation, listen to ambient sounds for relaxation or while I’m writing, or put on a guided meditation while I cook.

What should everyone try at least once?

Honestly… Meditation. I was very reluctant to try it and it was very hard the first time I tried it. But, there is scientific backing that meditation can help our minds and our overall well-being and I have found it to be a meaningful part of my life personally.

Where do you enjoy getting lost?

I love exploring parts of D.C. that I didn’t get to when I was a kid or teen. I grew up in this area, left for a long time, and then came back – and it has grown and changed in many ways. It is a lot of fun for me to just walk around neighborhoods to look at the architecture, nature, shops, and restaurants.

Gabriela Mo: Director

gabrielamo.jpg

My NativeAdVert:

Gabriela Mo has first studied Journalism, because she likes to write. From poetry to movie scenes, inspired by other people’s stories and her own dreams and experiences. Then she started to express herself as a photographer because she understands that the image transcends the word.

But there are other ways to make connections. She began directing films for Vice, adding visual quality to narrative constructions, and engaging herself in the creative process from the beginning. With naturalist photography and an immersive camera, she creates inspirational stories from ordinary routine. She sees beauty in everyday life and combines her sense in her works, whether documentary or commercial. Commercially, Gabriela worked with brands such as Coca-Cola, Kenzo, Samsung, Natura, Avon and others. “Her personal photography work is focused around women, as well as fashion campaigns.”

My Goal of the Day:  Today, like any other day, I try to be present. There’s no past, there’s no future. I do the best I can here and now.

My Thought of the Day:  There is infinite time in the present moment. Enjoy the freedom of silence.

My Action of the Day: I like to let everything flow naturally, without locking myself into the schedule, but it is still important to have an agenda, a notebook or a method of organization.

My Deed of the Day: Fulfilling some commitments is sometimes difficult for me. Today I plan to check all the pending items on my list.

My Tip of the Day: Finish what you start.  Make any encounter a learning experience. Everyone has something to teach us.

This is Tash, an Australian friend. :)

A Day in My Life:

What do you love most about Your City?

What holds me most in São Paulo is the amount of energy that runs through the veins of this great city taken. It is a city with many references and in constant transformation. The amount of information that surrounds São Paulo helps me to build myself. The more we can know of other universes the more possibilities of the world we will have.

Favorite breakfast meal & restaurant?

I like to feed on what nourishes me, what gives me energy and at the same time makes me light, without consuming me. So I'd rather prepare my meals and know what exactly I'm eating. Home made granola yogurt or a simple tapioca with avocado are the best. Trying to reduce coffee. Not really.

What are you doing at:

6:00 AM – Waking up. I am a day person, the first rays of the sun wake me up, I never use the alarm, unless I need to catch a flight or have an urgent meeting. If not, I intend to respect my natural schedules, because that way I can enjoy better and be more productive in the following hours. There is nothing less productive for me than a stressful, rushed morning.

10:00 AM - After doing Yoga, it is about 10 o'clock in the morning that I actually begin to think about work and commitments of the day. But it's a battle not to get lost in social networks.

12:00 PM - Favorite Lunch spot/meal?

I love trying out natural and vegan restaurants.

7:00 PM -  I enjoy solitude, moments of reading and meditation. I have changed it a lot, but at this point in my life, at 7pm I like to be relaxing and winding down.

11:00 PM - Zzzz

What drink do you need to get through the day and at the end (and how many)?

I like the coffee-making ritual, maybe as much as drinking. Lately I've been drinking a full pot! But I have other sources of inspiration at the end of the day that are not necessarily drinking it.

Most used App/Favorite Instagram Account?

Spotify, Instagram and Whatsapp are certainly the apps that I use most. I have an Instagram account called @nakedismyfavoritecolor . I've been updating a lot lately.

What should everyone try at least once?

Everything.

Where do you enjoy getting lost?

Inside my mind.
