Bio:

In 2014, marketing and branding expert Alex Cotraviwat launched his thriving collective, the Marendo Group, a full service, creative, branding, and business development agency specializing in serving as the launchpad for start-ups and emerging businesses through providing capital, investment, distribution, branding, marketing, sales, and event services. The Los Angeles based company is founded on the principle of principle of understanding client’s goals first in order to map out a blueprint and path for success.  Cotraviwat has provided his expertise to a number of start-ups as well as revived a plethora of companies in the automotive, golf, food, tattoo, and fashion industries. 

At 19 years old, Cotraviwat began to develop his talent for marketing and business leadership when he founded Kallusive, a car club competing against the nation’s best in the industry of modified cars.  Cotraviwat connected modified cars to specific brands and placed many of them in notable movies such as Fast & The Furious, one of highest grossing film franchises of all time.

In 2006, Cotraviwat founded his highly successful clothing line, Kallusive, a lifestyle brand that offered cutting edge graphics with thought-provoking, inspirational messages. The line ended up in popular major retailers such as Metropark, Pac Sun, Up Against the Wall, and Fred Segal.  Kallusive became one of the most recognizable brands in the entertainment industry, particularly in the music and dance space. It was seen on the likes of 50 Cent, Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, Big Bang, and America’s Best Dance Crew participants, including the infamous, JabbaWockeeZ. After much success, Cotraviwat sold the brand through private acquisition and went on to launch the Marendo Group.

Since Cotraviwat founded the Marendo Group, the company has grown to over 50 employees and has continued to use his visionary instincts to bring brands, companies, and most importantly, the client themselves to achieve their own success and thrive at their fullest potential. What do you do best?

I would say maximizing every situation I am in is my best business attribute.  I hate wasting time and I always make sure to get the most out of every situation I find myself in.

What makes you the best?

I would say that what separates myself from others would be my understanding of what makes businesses work and how to make money in doing so.

What are your aspirations?

I want to make an impact on society through various businesses that are not just about money, but are also about making this world and its inhabitants a better place.

I love Thailand! It has some of the most beautiful beaches. I like to visit anywhere with a beach so anywhere with one is my favorite place.

Products:

I’m an avid golfer so I would definitely say my golf clubs.

Passions:

In addition to loving to golf, I also have a strong passion for modified cars. I started developing interest in cars when I was young and then worked with cars in my career so it’s definitely always been in my blood.
