When Tim Dunn first started searching for vacation rental properties as a visitor to Provence in the early 90s, he was surprised by the poor quality of advertising, both in terms of images and descriptions. Several years later, after settling in the region, he decided to turn his attention to creating an attractive and informative website, worthy of the properties he promotes. He created Just Provence in 2008, the predecessor to Emotional Escapes. From its humble beginnings, Just Provence went on to develop an exclusive portfolio of luxury properties throughout Provence. Providing a service based on local knowledge and experience, the company reaches out to a discerning audience of travelers.
Tim wants Emotional Escapes’ clients to spend their vacations experiencing the best the region has to offer. Provence is a fantastic destination, fit for a truly memorable holiday thanks to its Mediterranean climate, renowned wine productions, famed restaurants, historical sites and impressive natural attractions including the Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, Mont Ventoux and Luberon National Park. Emotional Escapes works with multi-lingual service providers to organize tours and activities, to help guests capture the sights and sounds of this most beautiful region, ensuring a turnkey and truly memorable Provence escape.

What do you do best?
I’m fortunate because I’m polyvalente, that is to say I can turn my hand to most things. I used this talent, and all my experiences thus far, when creating Emotional Escapes, and I continue to do so every day. My broad experience allows me to approach new challenges from many angles which helps to find creative solutions.
What makes you the best?
I don’t claim to be the best, but I will say that I’m a perfectionist and that brings the best out of me. It’s for others to decide whether I’m the best.
What are your aspirations?
I want Emotional Escapes to become globally recognized as the most professional website promoting luxury rental properties. It will be run by local agents in every destination, using very high quality imagery including aerial video footage.
