What’s Your NativeAdVantage:
What do you do best?
I've always thought of /Film as an extension of myself and not just a job. And because of that I try to write about films and filmmakers I'm very passionate about. I think that passion comes through in the writing. This also comes through in our choices of interview subjects and questions as well.
What makes you the best?
I've never believed that I'm a great writer or commentator, but I think what sets me aside from a lot of other people is that I always try harder. It's hard to compete in this business if you're just going to turn in the same exact product as everyone else. So for me the key is to pick topics and news that I'm passionate about and present them in a way an interesting way. I think /Film is at its best it is because we dig deeper and try to craft something better than your typical movie blog post, be it an angle, the presentation, research, added context and/or added value content. And I think that readers can feel this care in the work, and thats why they would rather come to us for the information.
What are your aspirations?
Personal: I'm trying to enjoy life more and explore this world more. For the first five years of the site I was working 15+ hours a day and literally did not have a personal life. In the past few years I've made great strides to separate my work from my personal life.
Business: I want /Film to grow into something bigger. I'm an executive producer on a new documentary film and I'd love to someday get more into the creative aspect of getting films made.

San Francisco holds a special place in my heart.
I'm obsessed with Apple Products but the thing that has probably changed my life the most recently is my treadmill desk. It allows me to be active all day while I'm writing at my computer.
I play a lot of designer board games with friends, I am an amateur Magician, and I am a Disneyland and theme park fanatic.
