A lifelong New Yorker with a natural passion for real estate, Beth Levy is known equally for her amiable personality and for her exceptional client services background. A professional communicator with an unsurpassed knowledge of the Manhattan real estate landscape, Beth lives and breathes the great New York apartment search. As a native New Yorker, Beth herself has enjoyed living in a variety of neighborhoods over the years, from the Upper East Side to Battery Park City, Brooklyn Heights to Midtown, and is uniquely suited to matching the right person to the right abode. “I got into the real estate business because I loved the process of looking for my own apartments and helping my friends and family members do the same,” says Beth. “I thrive on helping people, and nothing makes me happier than working with a client to find their perfect New York home.” Beth’s extensive client services skills are buoyed by her previous experience heading up a post-production recording studio, where she began as a receptionist and worked her way up to President. The negotiation skills and dedication to individual client’s needs she developed in that role serve her well in the real estate business on a daily basis. A meticulous professional, she works closely with clients throughout every step of the sales and buying process, ensuring she does not stop until their specific needs are met. As a current resident of the Financial District, Beth’s business is focused on luxury high-rise Manhattan properties, particularly in Battery Park City and FiDi, where she believes the best deals are to be found—and enjoys trying the area’s many restaurants and different types of cuisine. A mother of two, Beth graduated cum laude with a B.S. in communications from SUNY-Brockport. She is a voracious reader and interior design aficionado; the only thing she loves more than finding great apartments is outfitting them.
What do you do best?
I seem to be able to put people at ease, by being genuinely interested in their stories and their history. Being able to connect with people on a personal level has always been something that’s come naturally to me, and that’s why I feel I’ve found my passion in becoming a real estate agent.
What makes you the best?
If I believed I were the best, I’d be finished. For me, there’s always room for personal and professional improvement, and if all goes well, I’ll learn something new and valuable every day… sometimes from a client or fellow agent, sometimes even from a child. I try to be the best real estate agent I can be at a given moment. I’m trustworthy, honest to a fault, and will leave no stone unturned whether the client is a first time renter, or a seasoned investor or developer.
How will you become the best?
I hope to never feel, or need to feel that I’m “the best.” If I can help someone find a home, the home they will live, have relationships and build families in, that’s all the “best” I need.
What are your aspirations: business & personal?
Personal: I always want to be better. As a mother, a wife and a friend. I’d like to take better care of myself. Maybe take a vacation!
Business: I will always stay true to myself, and be truthful to my potential clients. I will not feed people what they want to hear in order to make them happy. In a business with as varied a reputation as this, this will be my way to stand out.
What fascinates you?
People fascinate me. Everyone has a story, and I’m endlessly curious and love to see what makes people tick. They call me “Oprah” at work. I’m not sure that’s a compliment!
