My NativeAdVantage:

Chris Dominiak joins The Jarrod Guy Randolph Team after a successful career working at Brown Harris Stevens, alongside a top-producing Senior Vice President, Managing Director for seven years, who generated annual sales surpassing $100 million. Chris's innate ability to understand the operational and transactional processes of New York City real estate compels him to remain cognizant of the current trends and prominent residential buildings throughout the market. In 2009, Chris was named one of the top sales agents of the week by The Real Deal Magazine, after his involvement in the sale of a $25 million dollar apartment at 15 Central Park West. With his family's involvement in real estate management for cooperative and condominium apartments in Manhattan, Chris learned about the real estate industry at an early age.

In addition, he is well-versed in computer technology, with experience operating various systems and web applications, a skill that allows Chris to seamlessly acquire and analyze housing market information for transactional and research purposes. Chris is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and also holds a Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE) designation, as well as a Certified Buyer Representative (CBR) designation, both titles which only 1% of real estate agents throughout the nation have. An admirer of the New York City architectural landscape, Chris has studied the work of J.E.R. Carpenter and Rosario Candela, his two favorite architects, in detail. He graduated from the University of New Haven with distinction. As a collegiate athlete, he was also awarded several athletic honors during his undergraduate studies. He was born and raised on the Upper East Side, which is where he currently resides. Chris is also bi-lingual and speaks Polish fluently.

What do you do best?

I am able to assess someones personality very quickly. I feel that this ability is equally important in my personal life as well as work. Every day I deal with many different personality types, so my objective is to try and adapt as best I can to create a comfortable environment whether it be with a new client, or someone I've just met in a social setting. I feel that by establishing rapport with someone quickly enables you to gain their trust which ultimately will lead to a much more advantageous business relationship and friendship.

What makes you the best?

Approaching every situation with a calm and collective mindset. Especially in my line of work, this business tends to be incredibly stressful and fast paced which over time turns people into a perpetual state of aggression. While at times you do need to have "bulllish" attitude, there needs to be a ceiling for it. Clients and colleagues will notice that you have an abrasive personality type and will be less willing to work with you. Many times, I have diffused hasty situations between different parties, or at closings just by projecting an easy going and even keel demeanor. The result is getting everyone to the finish line of the deal as smoothly as possible.

How will you become the best?

By continuing to grow and learn as a person and a worker. Studying different areas of New York City, and learning more about the history of certain buildings, who lived there, who lives there, and how it can work for a client. Fostering new relationships with people while maintaing the ones I have.

What are your aspirations: business & personal?

Business: To grow a substantial personal brand and referral base, local and world-wide.

Personal: To live a comfortable life, never be too tied down to work, and have the ability to un-plug from it all to recharge physically and mentally if need be.

What fascinates you?

Thinkers, futurists, different cultures and cuisines, technology, advancement in modern medicine.

Favorite Motto?

"Forget about all the reasons why something may not work. You only need to find one good reason why it will."

Favorite People?

Anyone who thinks positively and progressively.

Favorite Places?

New York City, Italy, Egypt, Tokyo, Thailand, Turkey and Greece. I am drawn to places rich in history.

Favorite Products?

Anything that saves time, money, and enhances ones ease or quality of life. Apps are changing the way we live and interact more and more, so it will be interesting to see what the future holds in this area. I would not be surprised if the Real Estate sector would be heavily impacted by this evolution as well, as it already is heading in that direction.

Current Passions?

Cycling, Basketball, Music, Architecture, History.
