My NativeAdVantage: I am fascinated by the mechanics of the global political machine and international order. History has revealed a tremendous amount of information, both good and bad, if one is willing to see it.
I was born in NYC, where my interest for International Relations began. I grew up in a neighborhood that was a melting pot of European and Latin American cultures. What began as a childhood hobby consisting of travel, learning new languages, and collecting foreign coins and stamps, has grown into a life-long passion in academia in the fields of International Relations and Political Science. I am multi-lingual and multi-cultural, and find the cuisines, languages, and customs fascinating. Over the past three decades I have lived and worked in Europe, NY, LA, and Miami. Currently, I reside in Virginia where I am completing my Doctoral Dissertation project, which is focused on Drones, Collateral Damage and International Law. My Dissertation explores the narrative that the U.S. Drone Strike Policy, both signature strikes and targeted killing, are being performed with no regard towards International Humanitarian Law, State Sovereignty, Civilian Deaths, or as recruitment propaganda by enemy forces. www.drjfw.com
