What do you do best?
Relate to people. No matter your title or role, it is important to understand the people around you. Working with people is the most challenging but also the most rewarding aspect of business. Within a startup, this becomes even more important because there are no set roles.
What makes you the best?
Inspiring people. I believe most people want to make a positive impact on the situation they are in and that starts with believing they can. The people around me are excited about FitMate’s future- not just because the concept is great- but because we all share an enthusiasm to make it so. That starts at the top, with me
How will you stay the best?
The best is making people around me better. Our team is dedicated and determined to see FitMate as the next big thing and we must believe that every day. To stay the best is to bring excitement and energy to everything you do. Passion is infectious.
What are your aspirations: business & personal?
Personal: I am blessed with a beautiful wife and three amazing kids so naturally I want to spend as much time with them as possible. While my kids play sports, too many probably, guitar and countless other activities, I have promised my daughter a horse. So I still have some work to do.
Business: To create benefits for those around me. The great thing about FitMate is it encourages physical activities with a social slant. There are many that don’t need motivation to go to the gym, however for some that is exactly what will help them live fuller, happier lives.
What fascinates you?
People’s creativity. Even for the simple things. Like Uber. It is extremely great to live in a country where we are able to try new concepts which ultimately help the greater good.
Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those timid spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat. Theodore Roosevelt
As you can see from above, Teddy Roosevelt!
Seattle on a clear day. Not many of them but when you see it few places rival. And have to add Glacier National Park which I visited last year- hard to describe.
Interesting question. Will have to go Sonos. It’s a sound system for the home which you control from your phone. We always have music playing. My kids don’t care for my selections too much….
Fitness, outdoors and all things sports. I absolutely love playing anything. Still the kid in me. I hope it never departs.
