Residing in Vancouver Canada, Kevin Liu is a young and driven entrepreneur from China with a particular focus on the area of cosmetics and skin care. With a family background spanning over 2 decades within this particular branch, Kevin set out to acquire all the vital skills and know-how to start his own firm in North America. Kevin is the founder and owner of Adorlée Eye Beauty Specialist, a company that specializes in the finest eye creams. Having graduated from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver and boasting a background in Real Estate and property management, Kevin distinguished himself for his business-building skills and forward-thinking approach, as well as his versatility and vision.

What do you do best?

Family has been in the cosmetics distribution business for over 22 years, and I finally decided to start our own brand as Adorlée - Eye Beauty Specialist based in Vancouver. We focus our resources, R&D on formulating and developing the best eye creams. All products are the the best fusion of technology and key natural ingredients. Everything is made in Vancouver, Canada. As you can think of, the formulation of majority of any skincare products is based on a great percentage water and we have the purest water sources in British Columbia.

What makes you the best?

There are over 200 different types of eye creams in the market and we are the best in terms of ingredients, results, as well as pricing. Consumers are paying premium for eye creams, because the eye area is the most important part of one’s face. However, an eye cream without key ingredients is only a moisturizer. So, before we start developing the product, we positioned the brand as affordable luxury. Luxury in both terms of the styles and ingredients. An affordable price but luxurious image of the brand, with rich ingredients. We use patented key ingredients combining with numbers of natural ingredients such as white tea, ginseng, aloe vera, hyaluronic acid, and so on for the best results.

How will you become the best?

The whole business chain from sourcing to selling, collaborating with the best is the key for us to stay competitive in the skincare industry. The most valuable thing in this business is the relationships, from sourcing key ingredients from a French company, working with labs for developing and formulating the product in Vancouver, to working with firms to design the look, packages. Printing the cartons, moving products around North America, working with national wide chain retailers and the list goes on, all the relationships have amazing synergies. Every firm and person we work with is the best in their field and the relationships made the business even better. We are together to witness and take actions for making the best eye creams for customers to enjoy. Soon, we will have a break through way of product combination within the skincare industry. We are the best!

What are your aspirations: business & personal?

Personal: I believe it takes 10,000 hours to master a skill, my goal is to master as many skills as I can within this business, and make Adorlée THE brand for eye creams, and keep my passion.

Business: It is about Adorlée again, to make Adorlée the brand for eye creams, also, to carry on the family business within the skincare, cosmetics industry world widely, and become one of the leaders.

What fascinates you?

The size of the market, before I start the Adorlée brand, there were lots of comments on how challenging it is to get your space on the shelf, but the size of the market really fascinated me. Lots of the projects are tech based today, but the traditional ways of shopping can never be replaced by keyboards and mouse, neither the trackpads. The volumes and potentials in this industry have plenty of space for the best. Customers are fair and knowledgable. The tools that are available out there are making businesses fast and efficient. We are confident to become the leaders in the eye beauty sector.

Favorite Places?

My business partner is from Ireland, one of my previous business associate is also from Ireland, and we were being called the happiest buyer and seller for real estate deals. I’ve been practicing lots of “Dublinese”. Therefore, I believe Ireland is number one favourite place, even though I have never been there yet. I also love Santorini, I can still hear the wind.

Current Passions?

Running, I do 10K every week or two, half marathon every once a year. I love running, it gives you time to think, and you're not able to give up in the middle, because you know that you have already gone really far. So, I have learnt to keep going forward and finish what I have started.
