Licensed in New York and New Jersey, Ginger Shukrun has worked in residential real estate for over a decade. She quickly became one of the youngest, fiercest competitors among her peers while selling in New Jersey, before deciding to move her business and her clientele to Manhattan. Ginger initially worked with Trump Sales and Leasing in 2007, then for another prominent brokerage before happily joining Town. She specializes in high-end sales on the Upper East Side, but also handles condominium and co-op apartment sales throughout NYC, whether for a client's full-time home, pied-a-terre or for investment.
Ginger is a native of the New York area who majored in Fine Arts at The School of Visual Arts in Manhattan and studied Real Estate at New York University. She has over the years lived in many different city neighborhoods, wanting to immerse herself in the incredibly diverse market that offers so many distinct niches. Ginger is a property owner and investor herself, so understands the motivations behind each transaction.
What do you do best?
I strive. I strive to put a deal together. My strength lies in the process of the deal, in fighting for what my client wants. Because throughout the deal, problems could arise on our side or on the other side. And when they do, making that final deal come to fruition is an unbeatably exhilarating, driving force. It’s an insatiable need to get every deal to the finish line.
And I look at that in the same way as fighting for what my client wants.
I go to serious lengths to make sure the deal gets done. Getting my client what they want motivates me to get every deal done, because their happiness and continued trust is the reward.
What makes you the best?
I think it’d be wrong to say anyone was the best at anything. Being my best everyday for my client— that’s something I take pride in. The idea that no one can ever reach that title, that I’ll always be striving to be better is so much more inspiring on a daily basis.
How will you become the best?
I can only become better by learning more everyday.
What are your aspirations?
Personal: To empower my daughters to be women of integrity and compassion.
Business: I take immense pride in my referrals and my longtime client relationships, and I love working with Town to grow my business. So, my goal is to embrace the exponential growth I’m experiencing and see where it takes me.
What fascinates you?
The New York City Skyline. It is always changing.
