I am currently the General Manager of The Langham, Boston. I practically grew up in the hotel business, following his father around at his job at a resort at age five and working there myself at age 11, in any available role I could fill, from water ski instructor, to housekeeping and general maintenance, to dishwasher and cook.
I began my professional career in food & beverage but since then worked in a variety of roles at hotels all over the world, including Executive Chef, Director of Food & Beverage, Housekeeping Manager, Resident Manager and, most recently, General Manager. Prior to joining Langham Hospitality Group, I spent time at Novotel, Sofitel and Accor hotels, in Canada, the U.S.A., Vietnam and Hong Kong, before becoming General Manager of the Metropolitan Hotel Toronto. I started at the Chelsea Hotel Toronto in 2011 as General Manager and oversaw the hotel’s brand change when it was re-flagged by Langham Hospitality Group, as well as a $30 million CAD renovation of its guest rooms, meeting facilities, restaurants and public spaces.

I have had a huge range of experiences within the hospitality industry and worked in a variety of roles and departments, which allows me to understand the challenges that each of my employees face.
I was fortunate to receive incredible opportunities in my career at a young age and took advantage of them to get to where I am today. Having the chance to lead another hotel within Langham Hotels & Resorts and move to Boston is truly the biggest success of my career so far.
Most challenging moment?
Early in my career I had the opportunity to move to Asia. Making that move, adjusting to the culture and achieving success over the next five years was a significant challenge, however it provided me with an opportunity in my career that I wouldn’t have had without making that change.
What are your aspirations?
Personal: To make sure that my immediate family is always happy and well taken care of.
Business: To be respected and recognized as someone who has done my job well and can be relied upon to make the hotel I am leading a success.
