Phil is pursuing his passion in Social Entrepreneurship as CEO and co-founder of Tembo. Tembo educates children in slums around the world using mobile phones. In 2016, the Tembo team and Phil were listed in Forbes as the top 30 entrepreneurs under 30.

Phil Michaels is a dual-degree graduate with a Master of Business Administration (MBA): Entrepreneurship & Master of Science (MS): Marketing at Sykes College of Business at The University of Tampa (UT). In 2015, Sykes College of Business was ranked #7 in Top 25 'Best Value' Business Schools by Business Insider. Phil was a pre-medicine student in his undergraduate career and graduated from the business school in May 2015.

What are our aspirations?

To maximize children's potential by educating them from 0-6 years of age so by the time they are young adults, they will be solving the world’s most pressing challenges for their nations, rather than having people from developed nations trying to solve their problems for them.

Having built a revenue-generating business in an international country with paying customers.

Most challenging moment?

Living in slums for 3 months.
