What do you do best?

That’s a hard question but I think in terms of my website and cookery books I would say I take classic meals and transform them into a healthier, more nutrient packed version. I love helping people who follow a gluten-free, dairy-free and refined sugar-free diet feel like they can eat all of their favourite foods.

What makes you the best?

I'm passionate about what I do. I'm very authentic, I only talk about things I believe in and not what the trends are saying. I spend time answering people's questions and nurturing my audience.

What are your aspirations?

I'd love to open a restaurant, create products and grow the Madeleine Shaw team. Personally I'd love to travel more, and live in Sydney again by the sea.

Biggest Success?)

My first book. I remember the first time I held it in my hands. Because I’d never written a book before, I spent a lot of time on it, putting my absolute all into the finished book. From writing the introduction which is all about how to enliven the hottest, happiest, and healthiest you, all the way to the last recipe. It was a total dream come true, and a stepping stone to where I am today!

Most Challenging Moment?

Filming Glow guides it was really strenuous working out 6-8 hours a day in a freezing cold room. It was a huge project to take on and it challenged me physically as well as emotionally.


A good friend in Australia told me this before I moved back and it’s always stuck with me, “There is only one you, and you will bring something to this world that no one else has.”

Favorite People/Role Models?

My mum is my biggest role model. She’s a brilliant business woman, and has been a great support to me, my brother and sis-ter.

Favorite Places/Destinations?

I went to university in Australia and it’s where I came into my own. It’s where I learnt to cook wholesome, nourishing food and take care of my body. I always feel at home when I go back to Sydney. I love going for walks and exploring the local area when I go on holiday or travelling because I think it’s great to ease my mind. The walk from Bondi to Bronte is a must do if you’ve ever in Sydney!

Favorite Products/Objects?

My number one used item in my house is probably my food processor. I literally use it for everything, it just makes cooking so quick and easy.

I also have this big wooden table with cast iron legs which was the first thing I bought for my house. It’s so heavy it’s really difficult to move but it’s gorgeous - love at first sight kind of shopping.

Current Passions?

I love yoga and long walks. I want to take up pottery soon! (No rules here. This can be anything in your life that you are currently excited about or enjoy)
