What do you do best?
I’m very empathetic and I love to listen to people and feel them on their level. I think I’m a great yoga teacher because I love it so much and have been practicing and teaching since the 90’s. I’m also a pretty awesome mom!
What makes you the best?
I stay in the moment as much as possible and give it my all whenever I’m doing anything. I’m also a perfectionist so I think it rubs off on everything I do.
What are your aspirations?
I want to raise amazing, empathetic, passionate children. I want to continue to teach until I’m 100 years old! I would love to have my own yoga channel or tv show someday too.
I think hosting, choreographing and starring in the first MTV yoga series was pretty cool. I also loved being on the cover of Health. Having my baby boy Timothy was a huge success for me and now I have twin boys on the way! I just finished my first book with Harper Collins coming out in January so I think that’s a huge success too.
Most Challenging Moment?
I’ve had various challenging moments throughout my life. At one point in my teens and again in my 20’s I struggled with anorexia. I had a hard time getting pregnant when I first started trying. I’ve also been working and living in NYC for 22 years now and as much as I love this city it’s always presenting challenges which makes it fun and keeps me growing.
I often say “everything you could possibly ever want, have, or need, is right here inside of you.”
Favorite People/Role Models?
My mom is really incredible and such a role model to me. I am also enamored by Steve Martin and all he does, he truly is a “jack of all trades” and has so many talents and interests and on top of it all he’s really down to earth and incredibly kind. I love Ayn Rand and her books.
I love Sun Valley Idaho and all of Idaho (I grew up there it’s heaven on earth). I love the Amalfi coast and Positano…anywhere in Italy is incredible.
I love aura cacia essential oils, Hatch maternity yoga tanks, toe sox leg warmers, manduka yoga mats and gear, traditional medicinals teas, ubr water and nuttzo nut butters.
Being a mom, writing, pregnancy, cooking, yoga always, Pilates always, theater, music, dance and friends and family.
