Nicole Jardim: Certified Women’s Health Coach & creator of Fix Your Period

My NativeAdVantage:

Nicole Jardim is a Certified Women’s Health Coach and creator of Fix Your Period, a series of programs that empower women to reclaim their hormonal health in a fun and sassy way. She runs a successful group coaching business and has helped thousands of women from all around the world who are struggling with PCOS, infertility, amenorrhea, PMS and much more. Rather than treating problems or symptoms, Nicole treats women by addressing the root cause of what’s really going on in their bodies and minds. She passionately believes that the fundamentals to healing any hormonal imbalance lie in an approach that addresses the unique physiology of every woman. This is essential to reclaiming and maintaining feminine vitality at any age. Sign up here for her Fix Your Period Quickstart Kit, a FREE 7-Day E-Course, to discover the top secrets doctors don’t tell you about your hormones, your symptoms & how to finally fix them!

What do you do best?

I am able to break down complex women’s hormonal health and nutrition information into simple, memorable, and useful nuggets, so that women can truly understand what is happening in their bodies and take action to fix it.

What makes you the best?

I am tenacious as hell! I came to the US from Antigua, where I grew up, for university. I got two scholarships and paid for the rest on my own, graduated with an honors degree in TV Production & Digital Media, and went on to work in the film and television industry – my dream from the time I was 14. Then I developed major health problems due to being on the pill and not taking care of myself. After exhausting my conventional medicine options, I turned to acupuncture and alternative medicine for answers. When I finally started feeling better, I decided that I had become way more passionate about health and wellness than film and TV production! I moved to NYC to attend the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and jumped into starting my women’s health coaching business. I trained with the best in the biz – Dr. Sara Gottfried, Chris Kresser and Jessica Drummond, and I have very unique qualifications because of this specific training. I’ve busted my butt for five years to create a successful business and it’s been worth every minute, because I get to help women all over the world!

What are your aspirations?

World domination! Haha. I want to continue to empower women around the world - especially those who lack access to the vital information they need to heal their bodies. My goal is to continue adding to the range of products I offer under the Fix Your Period umbrella so that women everywhere can balance their hormones and fix their period problems. Ultimately I want to become the go-to resource for women’s hormonal and menstrual health.

And, I want to continue being a fierce advocate for body literacy, because every woman and girl should be able to have a conversation with her unique body. I want women and girls to see there is a better way to improve their health and their lives than just taking a pill or getting that surgery.  I don’t want anyone to stay on the same old path, expecting a different outcome. I want women to reach for something bigger, more intentional, more aligned with who they are at their deepest level.

Personally, I desire to continue living a life of authenticity, where I show up as my best self for the people who are important to me. I could also do with creating a little more work/life balance, but creating and running a business is not easy peasy, and all peaches and cream! ☺

Biggest Success?

I am currently writing a hormonal health continuing education course for the school from which I got my health coach certification. I remember sitting in class over six years ago, imagining how my health-coaching career would play out, and never in a million years did I think I’d be doing this! As cliché as it sounds, dreams really do come true with perseverance and hard work!

Most Challenging Moment?

Choosing to leave my lucrative career in film and television production 6 years ago to completely start over as a health coach. At the time everyone in my life was like “WTF is she thinking?!”, but I knew in every cell of my being that this is the work that I was meant to do on this planet.

Act in spite of fear and take the risk. Truly – no one ever lay on their deathbed wishing they hadn’t taken a risk or pursued their dream.

Favorite People/Role Models?

My favorite person on earth is my boyfriend. He’s the love of my life and I wouldn’t be the person I am today without him. My professional role models are my business-owner lady friends. They all inspire me in different ways and have helped propel my business growth in countless ways. We women business owners need to stick together!

Favorite Places/Destinations?

Well, I had the lucky fortune of being born on the gorgeous Caribbean island of Antigua, so I’d say in addition to being home, it’s also my favorite place. One of my favorite things to do is travel – my guy and I have been to about 30 countries in the last five years, thanks in part to a long distance relationship! If you have a chance, check out Montenegro and Croatia for the most spectacular scenery you’ll ever lay your eyes on.

Favorite Products/Objects?

I’m a sucker for a pretty notebook and have way too many of them! I’m also obsessed with productivity and really like Asana for business projects and for personal to do’s that I can share with my guy. Desk drawer organizers are also a must. Oh, and I love having flowers, candles and crystals on my desk too!

Current Passions?

I just moved so I’m currently obsessed with furniture, art and decorating. Pinterest and Etsy have helped this process immensely!
