What do you do best?

Be myself. I’m authentic and genuine. I practice what I preach. My vulnerability is my strength just as my strength can be my vulnerability. In sharing my journey of self-discovery, I share how pain reshaped my life and led me to reconnect with my true self, make peace with my past, and learn how to appreciate and love my body.

What makes you the best?

I don’t think I’m the best. I think there is room for everyone to share their passions and help each other. But my strength and determination got me through 10 years of chronic pain and health issues. I never gave up, even when I was on my floor hysterically crying and I felt like no one believed me, like my friends thought I was crazy and that I was alone. I just kept going and knowing deep down inside that there was an answer. I don’t think this makes me the best but I do think this truly helped me navigate my rocky road. Navigating my way through pain, took away all the junk in my life. It still amazes me that my own healing brought me to a place of pure self-love was the catalyst for something so much bigger than me. It was as though there was a purpose to my health crisis and all the pain that came after- that’s what gives me such comfort and led me to trust the universe guiding me every step of the way. There’s room for all of us to shine our light and our radiant stories to help others with our message.

What are your aspirations?

To lift up and inspire as many people as I can. To give them hope and show them how to believe that healing truly does happen. I want everyone to see their own radiance and to know they are not alone. And most of all, to realize that you are not powerless. I want to show women that they can stop giving their power away to others who are telling them how to manage their health. We know our bodies better than anyone- it’s time to tap into our own intuition and to learn to trust ourselves. Above all, trust, believe in yourself and stand in your power. That’s my message for women.

Biggest Success?

Healing from 10 years of chronic illness. Boy o’ boy. Sometimes I look back and can’t believe I made it. Honestly. There were days I didn’t think I was going to wake up.

Most Challenging Moment?

10 years of chronic illness.  My darkest moments of hopelessness, shame, chronic pain and sadness showed me how to transform them into confidence, creativity and love.

When you doubt your power, you give power to your doubt. Just don't listen to the doubts. Your doubts are generated by fear, and fear is a series of distorted thoughts!

Favorite People/Role Models?

I love Mariel Hemmingway; I had the pleasure of meeting her a few years ago and she is delightful and such an inspiration. I also admire one of the most incredible women in my life, Kelly Brogan, M.D. who recently wrote the book A Mind of Your Own; she’s paving a way for people to free their mind from depression.

Favorite Places/Destinations?

Italy. I sort of want to move there. It’s soothing and so lovely.

Favorite Products/Objects?

I love R.W. Knudsen juices. Their juices are literally JUST juice and no added artificial flavors or colors. They’re amazing for making sauces, marinades, dressings and soups! I also love Satya jewelry; Satya is one of my best friends and her jewels are incredible. I wear one of her necklaces every day and they help ground me.

Current Passions?

Kundalini yoga, meditation, mindfulness, deep conversations, passion and getting together with my close friends for a potluck or dinner party. It’s all about community and surrounding myself with people who have similar values as I do- who want to eat clean, live clean and feel amazing everyday by taking care of ourselves inside and out.
