What do you do best?

I take my job seriously. I have a big audience, and I never want to let them down.

What makes you the best?

I'm not the best cartoonist, and I'm not the best writer. But I'm a good joke writer, and I try to play to my strengths.

What are your aspirations?'

I'd love for my work to become a cultural staple for generations of kids. My biggest passion right now is changing the world aorund me. We just built a bookstore in the middle of our small town, and that's brought me enormous satisfaction.

Biggest Success?

I've won five Nickelodeon Kids' Choice awards, and I'm very proud of that.

Most Challenging Moment?

I'm living it now. I'm trying to transition to a screenwriter, and it's a whole new discipline. But it's also invigorating.

Favorite Places?

Riga, Latvia, is my new favorite. I just wrapped up a world tour and Riga stood out.

I love to build. I love taking an unusable space and making it great.
