What do I do best?

What I do best is taking complex information from expert sources and relaying the information the general public. I’m a Journalist by nature. As I’ve progressed as a Fitness Journalist, I decided to become a personal trainer. Now, I believe my combination of unique content and exceptional workout programming make me unlike any other expert.

What makes me the best version of myself?

The most important characteristic that I possess is determination. I’m determined to make a difference in this world, one step, one rep, one word at a time. I’m able to have tunnel vision and achieve my goals, even if it takes me months to get something done.

What are my aspirations?

A: Personal Aspirations

To help people become versions of themselves. As a trainer, I’ve already reached this goal but I want to replicate the results my clients have reached (weight loss, muscle building, etc) for as long as I can. I’d also like to get in better physical shape and do legitimate fitness model shoots into my 30s.

B: Business

My business goals in the short term are to increase my number of personal training clients and write for a larger number of fitness publications. Long-term, I’d like to either be a full-time fitness magazine editor (my former career) or to open my own private personal training fitness studio.

My Biggest Success?

Passing my NSCA-CPT exam on my first try was a big accomplishment since I didn’t have an exercise science background. I also think helping my clients lose 40+ pounds is a big accomplishment. Last, continuing to write high-quality articles for fitness publications is key to long-term success.

My Most Challenging Moment?

My most challenging moment professionally was deciding to put a value on my Journalism work as an Editor. Once I decided what my value was, whatever the employer thought was irrelevant because I knew I was good enough to succeed at anything I wanted to.

My Motto?

I’m working hard and hardly working at the same time. That’s because I enjoy my work. Do you enjoy your job?

My Favorite People/Role Models?

I was raised by a single mother and even so, she was often working when I would come home from elementary and high school. Therefore, I can honestly say I’m my best role model. I learn from my mistakes and I don’t affect people negatively.

My Favorite Places/Destinations?

Lake Tahoe and Miami provided me with great views and I enjoyed completing obstacle course races there.

My Favorite Products/Objects?

I enjoy sports nutrition products, athletic apparel, and fitness equipment. Currently I have supplements from Cellucor, MHP, Ascent, and Naked Nutrition. My trainer apparel typically consists of Reebok, Under Armour, Nike, and Hylete.

My Current Passions?

My current passions include writing, helping others reach their fitness goals, obstacle course racing, and cooking. I want to collaborate with other writers and trainers to create great content. Eventually, I want to consolidate my thoughts into a book of my own.
