What do I do best?

I help people in troubled relationships get in touch with their deeper values to become the persons, partners, and parents they most want to be.

What are my aspirations?

My personal aspiration is to expand my capacity to appreciate people, nature, and creative works.

My professional goal is to find more ways to help clients regulate emotions and improve their lives and relationships.

My Biggest Success?

Of the nearly 6,000 clients I’ve treated in groups, as couples, and as individuals, more than 80% have experienced significant improvement at one-year and beyond follow-up evaluations.

My Most Challenging Moment?

In the throes of workaholic travel, I missed great moments of my daughter’s early childhood, like first words, first steps, first day of school.

My Motto?

The Buddha pointed out that most psychological misery comes from wishing things were not the way they are. Accept what is and make it better.
