My NativeAdVantage:

One foot always out the door, Ross Belfer lives and breathes his clients. A self-starter and entrepreneur, Ross Belfer has spearheaded media campaigns for a wide range of creative brands and companies across the travel, entertainment and lifestyle industries, securing massive placements in the world’s most influential media outlets. After 7+ years working with Geoffrey Weill Associates, Belfer relocated to Tel Aviv to both pursue a Masters in Public Policy at Tel Aviv University while simultaneously paving the way for Xhibition. When not swimming in the Mediterranean, he can usually be found absorbing endless variables of art, music and cinema and developing his interest in the culinary arts, or simply aboard an airplane towards new horizons.

What do I do best?

I can’t think outside the box because I have no box. My approach to anything I do — whether business or personal — is exactly the same. Unwavering and relentless until I reach my goals. When it comes to Xhibition PR and our press and communications service in representing our clients, my ability to create impactful global media awareness from our offices in NYC and Tel Aviv is something I feel surpasses the competition by tenfold.

What makes me the best version of myself?

Honesty, Relentlessness and refusal to accept situations that are not up to my liking.

What are my aspirations?

A.    Personally, to create a family and support base that will allow me to accomplish my dreams, whether creative, business or other.

B.    Business goals revolve around being the best in anything I do. I don’t tend to compare myself to others but part of the reason I launched Xhibition was a result of my discontent of those other agencies around me, and to build my own model and platform that I felt was truly exceptional.

My Biggest Success?

I feel my biggest success in business results from moving to a foreign country where I had nothing more than one friend and the know-how to represent hotels and travel brands to International media. Through endless work and dedication to my craft, I created a network of some of the biggest influencers in Israel’s hospitality and tourism industry and built up the confidence to launch Xhibition in a tiny Middle Eastern country that is often beleaguered by geo-political conflict. As there were no other truly international media agencies in Israel prior to Xhibition, creating a new industry in Israel in itself is also a success I take pride in.

My Most Challenging Moment?

Splitting with a negligent business partner and facing financial difficulties teaches you lessons and skills that business school could never offer. I won’t go into further detail, but when sh*t hits the fan, you must decide to either run through wall after metaphorical wall or simply get off the bus. When faced with dire difficultly, I chose the former.

My Motto?

Make it Happen.

My Favorite People/Role Models?

It may seem cliche, but sports figures like Michael Jordan and Mohammed Ali are two of my biggest inspirational models. Creatively, I love the work of Wes Andersen, Herman Hesse and Robert Capa. I wouldn’t call those individuals role models but their works have truly influenced my creative and philosophical mind. I can’t forget to mention my parents who raised me and instilled confidence in me to reach the place where I am today.

My Favorite Places/Destinations?

Azores, Portugal, the perfect volcanic archipelago where time has no presence and the weather is predictably unpredictable. Never have I been so moved by natural landscapes as those in Azores. Urban-wise, my hometown of New York City and adopted residence of Tel Aviv are amongst my favorite spots on the globe.

My Favorite Products/Objects?

I am not a person who amasses large amounts of products and objects. I would say my most coveted personal item is my Leica Minilux film camera, which follows me just about anywhere I go. As a photographer, you never know when inspiration will strike (that is if it ever fades, at all).

My Current Passions?

Working endless hours until the job is done (of which it is never). I am passionate about my work and find it not to be work at all, but a lifestyle that inspires me. I am passionate about my “baby” known as Xhibition and building it into a force to be reckoned with in the media and press industries. Outside of Xhibition, I am a passionate photographer, writer and seeker of inspiration manifested in many forms, from abstract and obvious, to banal.
