What do you do best?

I take pride in mentoring and helping others accomplish their goals. Most of the time people just need someone to believe in them and help them realize and nurture their natural abilities.

What makes you the best?

I am always willing to learn something new and view a fresh perspective. Keeping an open mind provides opportunities to see new insights and details that I might have missed. This has allowed for tremendous growth both personally and professionally.

What are your aspirations?

To continually strive to move from the status quo to a new level of excellence in everything I do.

Biggest Success?

Building a strong marriage of 30+ years and raising four daughters to be productive members of society enriching the lives of others.

Most Challenging Moment?

I was laid off after the dot-com bubble burst in 2000 and had trouble finding a good job so I started a company with a couple business contacts. We created a streaming video service pre-YouTube and I funded the marketing efforts out of my own pocket. I accrued a lot of debt and was forced to move on and leave it behind after 3 years of blood, sweat and tears. I was humbled by the entire situation and came to the realization that you can work extremely hard, invest a lot of money and still fail. Fortunately, within 2 years I emerged debt-free, but knowing when to quit became a key learning from that experience.

Never take anything for granted

Favorite People/Role Models?

Rick Warren, Pastor of Saddleback Church

C.S. Lewis, author and scholar

David Green, CEO Hobby Lobby

Favorite Places/Destinations?

One of my favorite places to visit is Napili Bay in Maui, HI. It’s beautiful and all of the small hotels are steps away from the beach. There are good restaurants and it is easy to avoid big crowds so you can just relax and chill. I also enjoy Yosemite and Vail for the outdoor activities like hiking and skiing.

Favorite Products/Objects?

My Roland Drums, Sonos wireless stereo system, Amazon Fire Stick

Current Passions?

I enjoy playing drums and I currently play for a ministry called Celebrate Recovery that helps people in recovery from drug addiction. When I’m not playing drums, I enjoy reading and learning about new technology. Two of my favorite genres are sci-fi and fantasy.
