What do you do best?
Saying “yes” and saying “no” are two very important words that any business owner and trainer need to know. It’s also important that you know when to say the right word and without feeling guilty after you’ve said it! I’m not perfect but figuring this out has been very helpful.
What makes you the best?
The best in my opinion is yet to come and I am always a work in progress. I believe the people in my life and those that I surround myself with make me who and what I am. We all help each other grow and build each other up and by doing this together it makes life “the best”.
What are your aspirations?
The list is long and for me my aspirations must align with my beliefs, values and priorities. Also I need to be real and realize it is ok that sometimes things will happen and sometimes things will not happen when I want them to. It is important to be flexible with your timeline and real with your time and lifestyle so you just don’t give up! Taking more “me time” and writing are for sure on my list as well as traveling to places I have never been. Also helping other studio owners with my new (still in the works) Studio Shape Up program is something in the near future!
So far to date I would have to say that owning 2 Pilates studios and being my own landlord at both locations in the Hudson Valley is one of my proudest moments. Also being in Pilates Style Magazine and on the cover was a dream come true. Being able to not only reach so many amazing people who have come into our studios, but also be able to reach a much larger group of Pilates professionals and enthusiasts has been very gratifying and so exciting. I am grateful to have met and keep meeting so many amazing people.
Most Challenging Moment?
Sometimes asking for help is harder than it seems and sometimes keeping myself motivated is just exhausting!
Stop doing shit you hate, keep going & breathe!
Favorite People/Role Models?
There are so many people that inspire me! My family is a huge part of who I am and where I am today and my whole team at Body Be Well Pilates is also super important to me!
Anywhere with white sand beaches and room service ;) I also am in love with the Hudson Valley and so lucky to live here!
Currently I am in love with my MZ Wallace burgundy bag, which holds all my stuff for everyday life at Body Be Well Pilates for a day inside and/or outside the studios. I also love me some drybar detox dry shampoo, individual travel size hummus containers (so I don’t eat the whole tub) so I don’t become hangry and my little sidekick Maltese puppy, Stella!
Pilates is always a passion, a practice and a way of life! However, walking outside and biking (without training wheels ;)) are also fun for me!!
