Madison Ciccone: Soul Cycle Instructor

My NativeAdVantage:

Madison brings a playful bit of sparkle to SOUL. Nicknamed the “Party Princess,” her teaching style can be described as gypsy chic, Wanderlust meets EDC. Madison worked in the entertainment industry in L.A. for many years before taking the podium. She challenges her riders with endless amounts of energy and fiery motivation.

What do you do best?

I think that I make people feel good at the root of all that I do. So yes I am a SoulCycle instructor, I teach yoga, I am heavily involved  in teaching fitness and living a healthy lifestyle which makes people feel good but I think I have a certain presence and energy that people are attracted to. Inclusivity is a big thing for me because I know what it feels like to be left out. I always make a point to make people feel welcome and GOOD... really GOOD!

What makes you the best?

Something energetic that I truly have never been able to explain but can only feel it. I cannot count the amount of times I've been stopped somewhere or pulled aside and asked "How do you have so much energy" or  "Where does this energy come from." I used to laugh and think now if I could only bottle this up and sell it I'd have a product but I think I'm starting to learn that my presence can be just as strong of a commodity to give as well. Showing up and SEEING people really truly noticing them for who they are and taking part in their personal journey, whatever that may be... Helping them reach their goals and dreams.

What are your aspirations?

To infinity and beyond!!! I want to travel more that is something I really want to start incorporating in my life. I think you learn the most when you are out there in the world exploring and finding adventure.

I want to be recognized not only as a fitness professional but also as a healer; a LIFE CHANGER and someday get to speak at events with the Tony Robins', Gabby Bernstein's, and Deepak’s Chopra's of the world.

I've been joking for awhile about writing a book... a tell all inspo kind of memoir type piece and it's starting to become less of a joke and more of a "Yeah I should ACTUALLY do that!"

Biggest Success?

To date... becoming a SoulCycle instructor. I have so many people to thank for telling me me to dive off a cliff, push my things to the curb, and move across the country... It was scary OH AND IT WAS CHALLENGING beyond measure and still continues to be challenging at times but it is so rewarding what I get to create when I am on the bike that the good sparkly times always outweigh the low blue times.

Most Challenging Moment?

I've started to say NO to things that no longer serve me. I have left jobs, relationships, things that seemed like GREAT opportunities at the time... when looking back they were not FOR ME. This happened to me very recently where I had to make the decision to walk away from a movement that I fell so hard and heavily in love with only to find out that it was not for me. I think there have been A LOT of challenging moments... daily, weekly, monthly, and not necessarily ONE Big defining one... it's all the little ones and how we deal with them and conquer them that define who we are and shape us into something stronger. They better us for the the long run!

How do I even pick just one?!?

"Your presence is your power"

I read a lot like... A LOT! That is how I stay inspired so I have so many little one liners or NUGGETS as we call them at SoulCycle in my back pocket at all times. I throw them around like glitter because I can't actually throw glitter it gets way too messy!

Favorite People/Role Models?

Gabby Bernstein - which is where my favorite motto "Your presence is your power" came from. I first read this in the book Spirit Junkie. I still swear to this day Gabby saved my life at my lowest point in Los Angeles... one day I hope to actually get a moment to thank her in person and not just in passing... huge shoutout to my girlfriend Britt Deanda creator of HighVibe Living for that book suggestion after a nasty break-up!

Janet Fitzgerald - Senior Master Instructor at SoulCycle and fellow mermaid yogi white witch. I remember I used to be scared sh*tless of her and now I can't picture life without her. I will forever be grateful for all that I learned from her in training and continue to learn

Debbie Valois - Superstar yogi and owner of the Laughing Elephant in Rhode Island. Debbie introduced me to yoga and really put me on the wellness spiritual path so long ago... I don't think I can thank her enough for getting my little feet wet way back when...

Favorite Places/Destinations?

Second Beach, Newport Rhode Island

Malibu Country Mart... it makes you feel like you're transported to another time. I would always go there and Sun Life Organics before hitting Westward beach in Malibu

The PCH... I've had too many beautiful lazy cruise sessions up and down the Coast of California... that lulling drive holds a place in my heart

Bali & the Maldives are in my future

I am also FASCINATED with sharks and would love to cage dive of the coasts of Cape Town

And I hope to someday get the opportunity to teach at SoulCycle's Barn in the Hamptons

Favorite Products/Objects?

Current Passions?

My new Jade yoga mat... I have not been as diligent with my practice and and I'm making a huge effort to dive back in. That first and foremost was my biggest passion before Soul... Yoga. I used to practice with Brent Laffoon and Shiva Rae and so many other instructors that I can't even thank enough for all that they did to further my journey... now in Boston I seek out Izzy VanHall for my yoga fix!

I drive home to Rhode Island from Boston to see my family a lot... I lived far away for many years so being able to get home more often is the best thing ever!
