Erin Shirack: Director of Cycling, Studio Three Chicago

My NativeAdVantage:

Erin Shirack is the Director of Cycling at Studio Three Chicago. She has had a passion for fitness for as long as she can remember. Her career in fitness started over 10 years ago when she began teaching Pilates as a side hustle from her career in sales and marketing. Moving to Chicago ignited Erin’s passion even more and it was indoor cycling that made her decide to leave her sales and marketing career and jump into the fitness industry full time. Erin has trained with some of the most respected instructors in Chicago and Michigan and has completed numerous certifications and continuing education courses in Pilates, TRX and Indoor Cycling. As former lead instructor for Flywheel Sports in Chicago, Erin’s classes were sought out by many fitness enthusiasts due to her high energy and expertly curated playlists.

What do I do best?

I honestly think that coaching and teaching are 2 things I do best.  The fact that I am so passionate about what I do allows me to put 100% into it and I feel that shows (or at least I hope it does!)

What makes me the best version of myself?

I think there are two things, my sense of humor and ability to take a risk.  I try not to take life too seriously, it’s a journey and you should laugh as often as you can and enjoy the ride.

What are my aspirations?

My personal goal: To own a vacation home on a lake

Business goal: To develop the best Cycle Team and program in the city of Chicago and hopefully beyond

My Biggest Success?

Taking the risk and leaving the corporate world for the fitness industry.  It was a huge leap of faith for me and one I will never look back on!

My Most Challenging Moment?

My most challenging moment was very recent. My husband and I had moved to Michigan for his career. I was still commuting back and forth every week between Chicago and Michigan.  We did that for about a year and decided to move back to Chicago.  It was very tough for me to leave my family in Michigan and a house that I loved but I wouldn’t change the experience. It made me realize that I am a hell of a lot stronger than I thought I was and it helped me realize that I can get through tough times and come out stronger in the end.

My Motto?

My Favorite People/Role Models?

My Parents, Obviously! They raised me to be who I am today and they are unbelievable human beings.

My Favorite Places/Destinations?

Travel would be Italy- I love the old charm and the FOOD.  Local would be the patio at Erie Café in Chicago

My Favorite Products/Objects?

My HyperIce Foam Roller and my VitaMix

My Current Passions?

(No rules here. This can be anything in your life that you are currently excited about or enjoy)

Oh I have a lot!

I love fitness as a whole- lately I have been geeking out on Pilates and a lot of mobility work and lifting

I’m obsessed with my nephews who live in Michigan and I tend to completely space out on anything happening in the world anytime I get the chance to see them or FaceTime with them.
