Dina Cassir: Yoga Teacher E-RYT®200 & Lululemon Ambassador

My NativeAdVantage:

I have always been drawn to a healthy lifestyle. Having had a passion for fitness since my early years, I went from being a ballet dancer to exploring different sports activities until I discovered the importance of body/mind connection through yoga in 2002. My journey as a teacher started with the 200hrs Yoga Teacher Training at the Sivananda Ashram in India in 2009 followed by various trainings with senior global instructors such as Max Strom, Clara Roberts-Oss, Nico Luce and Peewee Sanchez. My efforts in raising awareness about living a healthy lifestyle continue as an Ambassador for Lululemon Middle and my teachings around various studios in Dubai and online @lilyfit.com

What do I do best?

Living my passion. This is what I do best.  For me, yoga is what I‘m passionate about and I feel very grateful for the fact that I was able to turn my passion into my career.

There are millions of inspiring yogis out there. This is not a competition, and everyone shines in their own way, but no one can make you live your passion better than yourself.

What makes me the best version of myself?

I guess my smile has helped me get to where I am today. It’s free but it’s very contagious. Approaching people or situations with an open heart and a smiley face can make things so much better and the world so much brighter.

What are my aspirations?

On a personal level, working towards being the best version of myself ,being happy and satisfied with my life and myself, so that I can be an inspiration for my children and the future generation  .

On a business level, I would love to see the vision of owning my own studio taking shape. It’s all about the right location and the right time; but I would also love to take my teachings and studies internationally and help raise awareness in health , wellness and mindfulness.

My Biggest Success?

Starting a yoga career was one big challenge. When everybody aroundme, including my family, was expecting me to climb the corporate ladder, I just found myself more and more drawn to my health and yoga mat rather than money and office cubicles!

Looking back at when I first started teaching yoga in 2009 and where I am today, I guess , in my humble opinion, I’ve succeeded in proving to myself and everybody around me that I you can turn your passion into a career as long as you put your mind and heart into it.

My Most Challenging Moment?

Moving to Dubai from Lebanon was one quick, difficult and challenging decision I had to take in 2006 due to war unfortunately.

The plan was a short term one until the situation eased a little in Beirut; Few weeks after landing in the UAE I landed a job. It then became more clear to my mind that I was starting a new chapter in my life, a new country, a new job, and a new environment.

My Motto?

“Aspire to Inspire”

Trying to make it a goal to be a positive role model to my kids, my family and my peers.

My Favorite People/Role Models?

In all honesty , there’s not one favorite person: My parents taught me how to walk and talk. My husband is my hero; my kids, my students and disabled persons with great achievements are all role models to me.

My Favorite Places/Destinations?

Not a lot of people know this, but I’m actually an Archaeologist . I’ve always had a love for history and Arts. Specially the Roman Empire and Renaissance periods and of course Italian food
