What do I do best?
I’m a people person, so I love working in teams. I think the best ideas are a product of collaboration. Lucky for me, working in a hotel means that I get to interact with a variety of departments.
What makes me the best version of myself?
Resilience – you hear ‘no’ a lot in PR so you quickly learn to bounce back. I don’t take it personally, move on quickly but learn from it.
What are my aspirations?
Personal: I want to be a better cook and crack baking!
Business: There is so much that goes into a hotel operation – I want to spend more time with the departments to better understand the operation so I can support via marketing communications.
My Biggest Success?
Being asked to speak at USC Annenberg Career Conference on a public relations panel. It was surreal to be back on campus but not as a student.
My Most Challenging Moment?
I was born and raised in Toronto so when it came time for college, I made the decision to move to Los Angeles and attend USC. It was a huge step outside my comfort zone and completely eye-opening. I’ve since lived in Switzerland and London before moving back to Los Angeles – I’m not sure I would have travelled so much if I hadn’t taken that initial step.
Don’t stress the could haves. If it should have, it would have.
My Favorite People/Role Models?
Everyone here at The Peninsula Beverly Hills! I have never encountered so many hardworking, passionate and dedicated individuals. It’s a big family here and we’re hugely supportive of each other.
My Favorite Places/Destinations?
The place I last visited always becomes my favorite place! I recently went to Charleston and just fell in love with the city. It’s so beautiful and has so much character. For somewhere abroad, I love Japan. It’s so beautiful, full of culture and the food is extraordinary.
My Favorite Products/Objects?
Definitely my Kindle – I love to read and it makes it so easy. I also still use a paper calendar and I bring it with me everywhere. It’s a little old school but I love seeing my week laid out on paper.
My Current Passions?
Cooking and dining out – I’m so lucky to be in LA!
