Allaine Stricklen has been practicing Yoga for over 40 years, and has studied with many incredible teachers all over the world. She is a Yoga Therapist certified by IAYT (the International Association of Yoga Therapists) as well as a Master Yoga Instructor certified by the Yoga Alliance. Allaine believes that Yoga is for every body and everybody, and her mission is to help her Students recognize and release old patterns that do not serve a higher purpose. Allaine blends her extensive knowledge of Iyengar and Restorative Yoga into well-rounded classes. Allaine is a Certified Scoliosis Specialist and has studied with Yoga Teacher Elise Browning-Miller, a Senior Iyengar Yoga Teacher. Allaine offers traditional teachings which address each person’s individual needs, with a joyous and open heart. Allaine’s presence will immediately make you feel welcome and at ease. Allaine has created her own unique style of Yoga, called “Gentle Therapeutics Yoga, which is a safe and detailed method using various props to restore the body’s balance and vitality. Allaine leads Meditation Sessions, Workshops, Retreats and Teacher Training programs all over the world. She is looking forward to helping you discover your full potential to live a long, healthy life.
What do I do best?
So far as Yoga is concerned, I do best at helping all kinds of people heal themselves. My passion is to help Students and Private Clients heal their Mind, Body, and Spirit through the use of Yoga Therapy.
Personally, I do best at waking up every morning between 3:00-4:00 am to Meditate and practice Yoga.
What makes me the best version of myself?
I would say tenacity, kindness, and compassion.
What are my aspirations?
My personal goal is to stay healthy by eating mindfully, mainly Vegetarian diet, and enjoying my friends and family every day.
My business goal is to have Gentle Therapeutics Yoga Teachers trained and able to share my unique style of healing Yoga with the world.
My Biggest Success?
My son, who is the love and light of my life. I birthed him at 39 years old in a Jacuzzi on Miami Beach under a full moon in one and a half hours, when I was told I would never have children naturally. How about that?
My Most Challenging Moment?
Losing my Mother, who was my dearest friend and mentor. When I reach for the phone to call her, and she is not there.

Guru Mayi of Siddha Yoga- my Meditation Teacher- and all the wonderful Yoga Teachers I have encountered and learned from over the years, including B.K.S. Iyengar and Gomukh, Kundalini Yoga Teacher.

India, India, India.
My Favorite Products/Objects?
I'm the Prop Queen, and an advocate of Props. I use Props such as Chairs, Blankets, Bolsters, Blocks, and Straps to help support the body in my Yoga Classes and my own personal practice.
My Current Passions?
My current passions include cooking and preparing healthy food. I use to have my own catering business when I lived in San Francisco, and actually cooked for the Mayor at the time. I am also passionate about teaching Workshops, Teacher Trainings, and Retreats all over the world. I have a Retreat in India coming up next March that I am already dreaming about.
