He is also the the creator of the Harder Faster Louder® brand which incorporates aspects of healthy eating with exercise all while having fun. Steve enjoyes life like he never has now that he has overcome depression, bankruptcy, divorce, death of a child, being overweight, and addiction. It all starts with a thought…we just need to think right!
What do I do best?
I like to think I have great stamina and endurance which I think are major requirements for working hard.
What makes me the best version of myself?
I realize that crap happens, but it’s not what happens but how you deal with it that matters.
What are my aspirations?
My personal goal is to be a role model for my kids. I want them to be comfortable with whom they are, work hard, and that I’m their father, not their friend but they can talk to me about anything. (A little Winget-ism for ya)
On a professional level, I want to grow my personal brand of health, wealth, and happiness with other like-minded people who aren’t afraid of hard work and who don’t have any excuses.
My Biggest Success?
At age 39, I ran 100km from Brooks, Alberta to Medicine Hat, Alberta, all because I thought I could do it and people told me I couldn’t. I did it in 10 hours 45 minutes. That got me thinking, “what else can I do?”
My Most Challenging Moment?
Seeking help for my depression was very difficult. I rarely ask for help with anything but it was that or lose everything I’ve ever worked for.
“I’m better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow” meaning I’ve improved myself up to this point but there’s still so much work to do in preparing for the future, physically, emotionally, spiritually. You know all that good stuff.
My Favorite People/Role Models?
Business-wise, Larry Winget (the Pitbull of Personal Development®) is my go-to guy when I need some straight-shootin’, no BS, advice. Gary Vaynerchuk is another huge favorite, he has so much energy and he shares so much information. Oh, I can’t forget David Goggins. If you haven’t heard of him, look him up, he’s one badass mofo!
On a personal note, my father has taught me the value of hard work and that you won’t get things done if you’re not prepared and not up before the sun.
My Favorite Places/Destinations?
My Favorite Products/Objects?
I love my books, my guitars, and my jump rope. Oh and my phone!
My Current Passions?
I get the majority of my nutrition from Isagenix as an Associate and that pairs well with my fitness goals. I have created my own brand Harder Faster Louder® which is basically my motto for how I live my life. I am in the editing stages of my first book, yet to be titled, which is exciting and scary at the same time. It’s along the theme of going harder, faster, and louder. I’m an introvert and I’m opening up quite a bit in the book which is a big hurdle for me but I’ve kicked ass in the past, I’m kicking ass now, and I will again and again and again!
