My name is Lisa Danielson, but some people call me Veggie Lisa. I am a mom of four kids who loves to dance, cook, exercise, shop, decorate, and enjoy all the beautiful things the state of Utah has to offer. I have had a very long journey to get to the place that I am now, strong and confident but most of all happy. At one point in my life I weighed 200 pounds. It took 11 long years and 4 babies later to finally learn how to nourish my body properly and be comfortable in my own skin. Throughout my experiences, I decided to gain more knowledge and became an ISSA Fitness Nutrition Specialist and an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer. Being a life long vegetarian, I have a passion for vegetables and love teaching others how delicious they can be! I run a blog at, appear on FOX 13 The Place with a monthly recipe segment, am the head nutritionist for the best vegan protein on the market IdealRaw and also help my personal clients reach their weight loss goals. My motto is eat good, feel good, look good. When we eat good food and treat our bodies with respect, the rest falls into place.

What do I do best?

Laugh. A lot. Not a day goes by where I don’t laugh really hard, at least once.

What makes me the best version of myself?

Being in a consistent routine and enjoying every minute of it. I am a very routine person and nothing makes me happier than a fridge full of prepped meals,  workouts completed and my house organized. However with 4 super busy kids the last one is always hit or miss.

What are my aspirations?

My hope is to inspire others that eating healthy doesn't have to feel like punishment. Healthy food CAN taste good and you don't need to feel deprived in any ways.  Having a healthy body is priceless and so many folks realize this very late in life and it is MUCH harder to change. I’m trying to change the vegetable at a time.

My Biggest Success?

Being married for 16 years and counting. Also trying to raise 4 children, who will strive for their dreams one day and I want to teach them how.

My Most Challenging Moment?

After my first baby I had 60 pounds to lose. I felt defeated. I thought there was no way I could ever look or feel the same as I did in my past.  It took me the better part of 2 years, but I was able to reach my goals. If I can do it, anyone can!

My Motto?

Living a healthy lifestyle doesn’t have to be complicated.


My Favorite People/Role Models?

Chalene Johnson (beachbody) . She has always inspired me to do more and be more. It’s neer too late in life to inspire others and strive to reach your goals.

My Favorite Places/Destinations?

St. John Virgin Islands...the best snorkeling and the most beautiful waters.

My Favorite Products/Objects?

A good quality protein powder

My car

My desk at my house. It is always cluttered but I manage to find everything I need

Water Bottle. I hate to share my drinks and I go CRAZY when I see my kids drinking out of my hydro flask

My Current Passions?

I love teaching High Fitness. Its like aerobics but bigger and better. I love the group environment even though most days I go to the gym on my own. But when I teach High Fitness I have lots of people around me and we work hard together.

Also I just realeased a 28 Day Eat Real Challenge. For 28 you do my workouts and meal plan that is only made up of real food. Nothing artificial or fake. Cleansing and healing the body from the inside out. Women are having some amazing results! Losing weight, sleeping better and even kicking their diet soda addictions!
