I, Lori Miggins, decided to become a Team Beachbody Coach after the first person noticed the results I was getting from the Beachbody workout program I was doing. That person consequently decided to purchase the program themselves as a result of my results! That was exciting and empowering to me, because though I’d never have dreamed in a million years that I would be a part of helping someone in their fitness journey, here I was, helping others out of pure enthusiasm! I found myself telling someone what worked for me, what I’d tried, what I’d heard someone else say worked for them, and giving encouragement.People helping people – from all around the country – working towards one common goal: Reversing The Trends of Obesity: One Relationship at a Time! I am a stay-at-home mother of 3. When I began I had an 8 year old daugher, a 6 year old daughter and a 1 year old son. They are a little older now.  I am originally from Long Island, NY but I now reside in SUNNY Florida! I just love the weather here so much! I taught Special Education for 9 years before we decided to have children.

I started my journey with Beachbody years ago as I did p90x and Insanity after I had our 2nd daughter. It was those late night infomercials that really got to me. And, I completed the programs alone, with no support of a coach, just with my husband. I didn’t keep up with the programs and I never even knew to try Shakeology. September 2014 I found my first challenge group. AND I’M SO GLAD THAT I DID!!!! I did the 21 day FIX and SHAKEOLOGY for the month of September and I haven’t turned back since. CHALLENGE GROUPS are the way to go! Support, accountability, recipes, ideas……you name it! And, I started my own fitness journey as a coach because of it! I saw my passion come through during this challenge group and I decided to become a coach because of it.

What do I do best?

My friends tell me that I persevere and that I don't let anything stop me. I'm constantly pushing forward despite my struggles.  I am constantly working on bettering myself. I don’t always have the answer, but I have the tools to help you figure out the answer for you.  I like to think that I see the good in everything and everyone and I certainly believe that we are faced with struggles only because we are capable of them, we just may not know it yet.

What makes me the best version of myself?

I thrive on ROUTINE!!!  I'm structured, I’m persistent, I’m dedicated, I’m hard working. Part of my routine is staying accountable with my HEALTH and FITNESS and OVERALL WELL BEING.  All of these together allow me to be the best version of me possible.  A better wife, mother, sister, friend.

What are my aspirations?

My biggest goal is to allow as many people to see their FULL POTENTIAL.  So many people hide behind their FLAWS when really they need to learn to embrace them, enhance them, work on themselves in the ways that they need.  In turn, turning those flaws into feelings of FLAWLESS.   Our world is full of people that compare themselves to others, when really the only one that we should be comparing ourself to is……. ourself!

My Biggest Success?

Of course I have 3 huge successes, my children!  Being a successful, stay-at-home MOMpreneur is what I am most proud of.  I am the creator and leader of a top team of Beachbody coaches, when I had no belief in myself that I could do this.

My Most Challenging Moment?

Losing my parents.  I lost them both, unexpectedly.  My father I lost to depression after battling with it for years.  Coming to terms with the fact that it wasn’t right to be MAD at him and to treat depression like any other disease, that was the hardest battle for me.  Then less than 5 years later, I lost my mom to undiagnosed breast cancer.  Again, another battle I had to try to overcome.  Don’t be mad at her, be mad at the disease.  There are no answers to why these things happened and my children are the ones missing out now, but I talk about them, share their pictures, share stories, and keep them alive as much as I can.

My Motto?

I Can and I Will.  This is the first affirmation that I wrote to myself when I took on my first challenge to regain my health and fitness.  I now teach this to my team, my challengers, and I continue to use this motto every day as it hangs on a beautiful plaque in my workout room that one of my team members made for me.  I needed this sign when I was grieving the loss of my mother too. No one has a perfect life, but everyone can get through a struggle.  You just have to believe that you can, and you will!

My Favorite People/Role Models?

One of my role models is Autumn Calabrese.  She changed my life in so many ways.  She not only brought my body and healthy to a place that I never thought was possible, but my entire family is better off because of her system!  One of my favorite people was my late father.  He just got me.  He was my best friend, my go to, my no matter what, my cheerleader, my sunshine on a rainy day……my hero.

My Favorite Places/Destinations?

Maui, HI is by far the most beautiful place I've ever traveled to.  One of my most favorite places to go is COCOA Beach, FL.  Nothing too fancy about that beach but I grew up on Long Island, NY and the ATLANTIC OCEAN is my ocean.  So Cocoa Beach, gives it to me!  And we go every year as a family! I’ll take a simple beach, the sounds of the waves and my kids playing in the surf any day!

My Favorite Products/Objects?

My fave sneakers are Nike SLIP ON frees!  

Mu fave HAIR BAND that keeps my HUGE THICK head of hair in a ponytail called BURLY BANDS.

My favorite workout program is the 21 day fix EXTREME (hands down!)

My favorite skin care is DERM Exclusive.  

My favorite Shampoo is NEXXUS  - FLAXSEED OIL!

My favorite superfood wellness shake is Shakeology.  

My favorite Kids book is the ENERGY BUS.  

My favorite Personal Development Book is GRACE NOT PERFECTION by Emily Ley.

My Current Passions?

Helping other MOMs know their worth, come out of hiding, take care of themselves first, and realizing that they can do ANYTHING! I also love eating healthy and getting in a QUICK workout.
