What do I do best?
The thing that I do best is to be who I am. Nobody else can do it and it took me years to figure it out. Now that I’m here, I don’t want to be anyone else. And I enjoy everything that I do so much more as a result.
What makes me the best version of myself?
No thing makes me be/feel/do anything. I learnt a long time ago that we are constantly making choices, and once we are aware of the choices we are making, we can always choose from our hearts. In order to stay aware of what I’m choosing, and not get caught up in the cultural tides of anxiety/need/desperation, I have a daily spiritual practice. That gives me space for me, to breathe and heal. It keeps me centered and balanced, and from a grounded space of peace and calm I can make better choices. This is what I teach through my books, sessions and online classes.
What are my aspirations?
My mission statement is to heal the world by teaching people how to heal themselves. I always bring myself back to this – whatever I am doing. So aspirations? I’m too busy doing it – writing the next book, teaching the next class, I go with the flow. And as far as personal goals, I’ve been married for 18 years, I have 4 children (2 of them teenagers) and a rescue dog, so I am kept busy at home. Being able to balance it all is where my focus lies.
My Biggest Success?
I don’t live in the past anymore. I’ve integrated everything I do, and I don’t define myself by specific moments in my life. I think that in itself is a success. To not carry anger or grudges around, to not be jealous, to wake up and feel the potential of each new day, to be in the present moment most of the time. And to be able to help others do the same. Yes, I think this is a success.
My Most Challenging Moment?)
Again, not carrying history, names, dates, events in my mind can be challenging, however I trust that if I need to remember or know something it will come in the moment. The moment before the moment the information comes to me can be a challenge, especially when teaching in front of a group of people. But it always comes, as long as I look after me I can trust that all is always well.
When you put your heart and mind into it, anything is possible.
My Favorite People/Role Models?
My favorite people are my family, and rightly so as I spend most of my time with them! I have never really had a role model, some people I admire for certain things that they have accomplished, but I’ve never wanted to be exactly like anyone else. Probably just as well, as I’m enjoying being me (I think you can tell that by now!).
My Favorite Places/Destinations?
Ireland is my home, it is where my heart is. I love to get in my car and go travelling around and connect to the land, the stone circles, the megalithic landscape. There is so much magic here.
My Favorite Products/Objects?
I love my crystals, they help me stay at a high vibration. And I love my iPhone as I can practically run my business on it, listen to music, read books, play games and stay in touch with my friends! How amazing it is to have a computer in my pocket that’s more powerful than the computer I used to write my Masters Thesis!
My Current Passions?
I’m trying to use less plastic. I’ve noticed how much plastic is being used in everything, everywhere, and it’s shocking.
I’ve also started to grow flowers in my garden, I bought a couple of rose bushes this year and I loved seeing the flowers growing, I’ll certainly be doing more of that!
We all need to make more time for art, for creativity, or anything that makes our Soul sing. I love colouring too! My daughter and I created a colouring book with spiritual affirmations – making colouring part of your daily practice. I’m always open to new ideas, I love to be in flow.
