What do I do best?
I feel mountains of passion about what I do and the people I help. I feel this about my life in all regards, be it the people I love, a new recipe I just created, or someone new I just met and think they’re the greatest. I wear my heart on my blog and books, and people feel it and connect to it. It’s helped me be authentic and allows me to love what I do with all my heart. When I have business decision to make, I check how it feels to me and I gaged my decision on this. When I don’t, I never get the result I want. Passion is energy and when you find something your love and feel passionate about, then watch out! It has to find its way to you.
What makes me the best version of myself?
The most important thing I do was developing habits and consistency in my everyday life. When I first started my business in 2010, I wrote a blog every week and still do. I posted on fb at least twice a day and then started adding other social medias as well. I trained my mind to think thoughts of success and listened to someone who was successful everyday via YouTube or podcast, and sometimes more than once a day. When I struggled, I could be listening to one all day long. Nobody around me was doing what I was doing and I had to find people who were, and so I went online and stalked people who I thought were successful. Eventually I found as I became more successful, that I had developed habits that served me in every area of my life and not just business. I struggled with a lot of things. I had never like writing before becoming an author, so I wasn’t great at it. I was a musician so I played music while I wrote and that was where the magic happened. I just kept doing it and now I love writing and have three best-selling books. I didn’t have any photography skills and this was important skill for me to have. My husband started studying photography and taught me many things and we got good lenses and now this is my new favorite thing to do. It’s the passion that makes me try so hard, even when I feel inadequate. I just won’t give up and without a doubt someone or something will happen to show me the way. It’s a magical way to live your life. Follow your bliss and it will lead you.
What are my aspirations?
My biggest ambitions are to create and epidemic of wellness in anyone who will listen. We’ve forgotten how good our bodies can feel, and we’ve disconnected from how it works in harmony with our food and the mind. So many people are hurting and sick and they’ve forgotten that their body was designed to heal and keep them well. When you start to love your body, and teach your mind to seek wellness, wellness finds you and you get happy! This will open up your heart and you’ll want to help other find it too. It has become a driving force in my life. Helping people is one of the greatest feelings you can have. It fills you up inside and makes you feel a sense of joy that carries you through even the hardest challenges. It’s love manifested.
My Biggest Success?
Becoming an author was something I never had any desire to do. So, accomplishing the task of writing three books is something I’m really proud of. Having a successful business was not something I did alone. I had help people showed up to help me and now they’re a part of my business and I consider them family too. Success is so much fun when it’s shared.
Having a loving family. I’ve been married for 33 years and have three kids and we are a really tight family.
My Most Challenging Moment?
This last year we moved ourselves from Kansas City Missouri to Southern California to be near our two older kids who had moved a few years prior. They were begging us to come and it was quite an undertaking but we arrived and found a place to live and now were all together again and I couldn’t be happier. This has had a big impact on my business. It’s a mecca of people who are searching for wellness and I have found enormous support for what I do. Moving our family and business across country was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but the joy I feel personally and in business is hard to control. Live and do what you love it will make your life a journey worth living.
If you love something and you believe in the benefits and have lived those benefits, the people who are looking for the things you have to offer will find you. Then you will be there to welcome them with open arms.
