Tammy Lambson: Yoga Teacher & Travel/Lifestyle Blogger

My NativeAdVantage:

Bio:

Tammy Lambson is founder of www.TravelwithLamb.com. I’ve travelled a bit… I want to travel more. I have never come across a place I didn’t want to see and a moment I didn’t want to write about. I share what I have experienced to motivate others, to conjure up the courage to walk out that door, your comfort zone, and see the world… I’m a Writer, Artist and Yoga Teacher. Come along and Travel With Lamb…Originally from South Africa, I ran away to the UK at 19 with 300 pounds and zero experience, absolutely fearless. I returned home after two years only to be head-hunted from Dubai. Living in the desert gave me a new-found respect for pigs and blondes who expose their shoulders. Dried out and unimpressed by shiny buildings and pretentious cars, I headed to the jungle and taught English to the Land of Smiles.

My life changed, I absorbed the culture and craved simplicity. I found it easier to communicate with people who didn’t understand my language to my friends back home. Coming from a corporate environment, the jungle was a much-needed shock to my system. I returned to South Africa and had a successful career in Marketing Management specialising in Online Marketing. After 2 years, I returned for yet another stint in South-East Asia freelancing my way between countries before returning once more. I now head out to wherever I feel the strongest pull. In the last year, I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing: Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and South Korea. Where to next?

What do I do best?

I’m completely transparent in my content. I feel the blogging and influencer world is completely clogged with false advertising and I pride myself in only speaking my truth. The average reader responds well to honesty and I wish more people would take the honest, more relatable route.

What makes me the best version of myself?

My determination to be myself, to stick to the brand that I believe in, and to continuously be my own cheerleader. We need to back ourselves more!

What are my aspirations?

To create a brand I’m proud of, in whatever direction it decides to go in, I want to make sure I’m proud of the end result. Personally, I want to tick off my travel bucket list and continue to forge my own path in life. This is my journey and I create my own rules.

My Biggest Success?

When Travel With Lamb reached its 165th country! It still astounds me that people read my blog!

My Most Challenging Moment?

Staying true to my brand and turning down money when I could’ve used it! You’re in a constant battle with yourself when you’re turning down well-paying work. Friends often scold you for not taking more lucrative deals when you’re a struggling start-up – my advice is to trust your gut – always!

My Motto?

“Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better.”

My Favorite People/Role Models?

Elizabeth Gilbert – for constantly speaking her truth and highlighting mental health issues. Malala Yousafzai, for giving young girls a hero to look up to!

My Favorite Places/Destinations?

My favourite country to date has been Uganda in Africa. An incredible lush landscape and the people were simply beautiful.

My Favorite Products/Objects?

My yoga mat, my camera, my journal and whichever plane ticket I have booked!

My Current Passions?

My yoga practice and journal writing. The latter is such a simple daily task that most adults grow out of – but really shouldn’t! Documenting your day and writing your emotions on paper is very therapeutic.
