Trina Solomon: Yoga/Barre Instructor & Founder, Solosol Movement

My NativeAdVantage:

Bio:

Trina Solomon is a Yoga and Barre Instructor based out of Southern California and is know for her light-hearted yet challenging classes. When she is not teaching you can find her on the beach or growing the active wear brand she created with her sister, SoloSol Movement. Trina was introduced to yoga as class as child when she attended a class with her mother.  She continued practicing yoga occasionally but ballet was her main love. As an adult, Trina took her yoga practice to another level and became a registered Yoga Teacher. Shortly after, she found Barre and loved how it incorporated the mindful movement of yoga with the toning and conditioning of ballet. Her classes are uplifting and approachable and focus on connecting your mind and your body so that you can achieve your greatest potential. Trina believes in creating your dream life.

What do I do best?

I am a dreamer. I try to live my life without boundaries and instead with the belief that anything is possible and I can achieve anything I want.

What makes me the best version of myself?

Determination. Once I set my mind to something I accomplish it against the odds. My yoga practice has helped as yoga teaches endurance and patience through challenging yourself. When things were challenging, my mom used to just say to me “perseverance”.  At the time, I found it really annoying. But now I realize that it gave me the mindset to overcome the challenges of life and keep doing what it takes to live my best life.

What are my aspirations?

I strongly believe in creating the life you want to live.  When my sister and I started, SoloSol Movement, this was both our goal and aspiration. It sounded like a dream to work together, design amazing yoga clothing, be able to do good by giving back a portion of sales to rescue dogs and create a future. I want to inspire others through the way I live my life.

My Biggest Success?

Starting a business, SoloSol Movement, with my sister. When I look back at how far we have come and what we have accomplished, I am amazed. Of course, we want to keep growing and there is so much more that I want but I have to remind myself to be patient and keep chasing my dreams.

My Most Challenging Moment?

The most challenging moments are those that are frustrating or discouraging enough to make you question whether you are on the right path. There is no road map for adventure, but I remind myself to stay true and trust the process.

My Motto?

Create the life you want to live.

My Favorite People/Role Models?

I am blessed to have a lot of favorite people in my life. I have fantastic parents who are inspiring and supportive. I have an amazing business partner/sister who makes me laugh. I have a supportive and handsome boyfriend who is by my side. And of course my dog inspires me daily to enjoy life and relax.

My Favorite Places/Destinations?

I love to travel. Seeing new places excites my soul. I always love the warm water and salty breeze of the Caribbean. But, I would have to say my favorite place is Bali. This is where SoloSol Movement clothing and is truly magical. From isolated beaches to jungle to busy crowded streets, Bali is one small island packed with amazing people, culture, relaxation and adventure. There is really something about it that is so special.

My Favorite Products/Objects?

If I had to travel with just one small backpack, it would be filled with my Canon Mark 3 camera, IPhone, Macbook, Brazilian Kiss Lip Butter, Bikinis and SoloSol Yoga Leggings & Sports Bras.

My Current Passions?

I love dogs, especially my dog, Lucia. She reminds me to enjoy life everyday. I have spent time volunteering at dog shelters and rescues. My company, SoloSol Movement, gives back a portion of every sale to an amazing animal rescue in Bali, Bali Adoption and Rehabilitation Center. Being of service fulfills my soul.
